The truth for whatever reason is he’ll never face any real consequences for any of his actions. 3 mill fine, I’ll just take it out of Eric and the other girl’s inheritance. 95 mill judgement, I’m not paying that. Contractors wanting payment for their work, oh they did shoddy work not paying too bad so sad. It won’t be immediate but the effects of his leadership will be felt in the years to come, all the policies if implemented aren’t going to hurt him or his mates but the folks that have been sucked into his version of American exceptionalism and his jingoistic cries of Make America Great Again. Unfortunately the echo chamber can’t quite grasp its all a mirage of days gone by, whereby policies such as responsible immigration actually help a nation not hinder it.

Here he is, verbatim, in 2020, when asked (not by a hostile interviewer who might have rattled him, but by his biggest fanboy, Sean Hannity) why he deserved to be re-elected:
