This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

I have long been puzzled by the human inclination to trust/not trust.

People won’t trust that their government is (mostly) functional (“deep state”; election fraud) and yet will place their trust in an individual in cyberspace that they’ve never met, to the point of transferring their life savings.

I think humans are wired to trust individual people who they think are trustworthy over institutions, since the brain didn't evolve with institutions in place.
