This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Lets face it. We all prefer elon over trump. So who cares.

If elons running things it wont be as bad as i thought. This is not to say it wont be bad though. But there are very different levels of bad.

Headings wrong. Trump doesnt want capitalism. He wants aristocracy.

Trumps tariffs policies are anti captialism. As are his immigration policies. As are his his authoritarian tendencies. Capitalism requires democracy and rule of law both domestically and internationally.

Trump wants a world where wealth is determined by connections and loyalty and favours. To him. That aint capitalism.

This is a guy, that when put in hands on control of the only company he had day to day control of, got fired within months. Who owns major corporations, whos management have people dedicated to making sure he doesn't do anything stupid. Not smart enough to not interfere with the operations of the companies he bought, nor thankfully, smart enough to know when his dumb ideas are being side-lined and stonewalled.

Love to see how this plays out with government.

Much as I loathe Stinker Don and the MAGAs, much as I was disgusted by their cheap snipes at Biden, I can’t say I recall anyone claiming very often that Jill was running the country.
