I love how Ch 9 were impressed with Clarke getting so far forward and showing graphics to the effect.

Now that getting forward so far forward also came about his demise it's a bad and illogical shot. They wont castigate themselves though will they.

It wasn't coming forward that got him out... it was going backwards and giving himself space?
 
And meeting the ball down the pitch, giving himself less time to react to the slower ball.

I thought he reacted OK to the slower ball, adjusted his shot well... but because the ball and therefore bat was so far from his body and eyes he couldn't execute the shot properly.

But I will admit moving down the pitch as well as backwards was a strange move.

Tony Grieg & Nien continue to crap on about the best team being picked, failing to realise the guy coming into the team is on 33 & could well make a ton the way he's looking. It's not like the rotation policy is a new thing. :rolleyes:
