Sorry to intrude again guys, I've just been wondering,
With so many bad PR with some clubs recently, Hawthorn, Collingwood, WCE in the mid 2000s etc and the heat being on the clubs themselves, their culture, upper management etc and so many journos being nothing more than AFL mouthpieces is it possible (assuming cultural issues at Melbourne are true, which unless I am wrong has not been 100% confirmed?) that the AFL would attempt to throw Tracc under the bus first?
If it was a fringe player bringing up these issues then it doesn't generate the clicks compared to someone of Petracca's standing in the game. So the AFL sensing that another spotlight on club culture and by extension itself as an organisation would surely have a vested interest in scapegoating a player compared to a club.
I think this is the first big blow up under the new leadership of the AFL and given some of the changes already implemented by the new leadership, that are worse for the game but better for the organisation and liability, I wouldn't be surprised in the least.

Starting to think a trade is inevitable. There's now talk of mediation. The kings birthday negligence must be enough for Petracca to claim a breach of contract. This really is a terrible mess. I really hate the club for this, hopefully it leads to clean out. Get two top picks and start rebuilding.
I think the negligence thing is made up BS. He might be unhappy with what he's been through, but negligence? It's a long bow to draw and one that could mean his contract terminated which he won't want on that money. I'd say it's something the media concocted or something a disgruntled family member might have thrown around. Not denying he's unhappy with a few things. I just feel the clubs he would be wanting to go to just don't have the draft hands or money to bring him in. I'm leaning more to him staying and the club and him working it out in mediation. Best case scenario is that he stays and heads roll like Goodwin, Pert, Richo etc.

I think his family is up to their eyeballs in this . Also think its possible he plays for us next season on the understanding he is traded at the end of 2025 . Under no circumstances are we to pay even 1% of his salary if he goes as part of any deal.
If he goes , Goodwin can piss off as well .
I’ve been thinking about this. Will he push to have the club pay part of his salary to go to a big club that can’t afford him? Incredible to even contemplate but here we are

Issue here is, Trac wants to go, but now he is being fussy about where.

Thats the part I dont get. If he said any Melbourne Club i am pretty sure Saints, Bombers, Hawks and Cats would find a way to fit him. I know he has family in Perth so even if he played for Eagles or Dockers for a few years would not hurt if he was desperate to leave.

I don't think it's bs, Petracca has spoken about the going into surgery and the surgeon calling Bella saying he may not make it through the night. The whole experience has been traumatic for him. I definitely think Petracca feels the club were negligent o. Kings birthday and will use that as leverage to get out of the club. Watch this clip from about 17 minutes.

Yeah hearing it from him makes his disenchantment with us and our medical team, and probably a lack of empathy/understanding from others at the club, not that surprising.

I reckon the other stuff - small crowds, boring game plan, poor leadership etc - we're bubbling away under the surface but kept at bay when we were contending most years. But now he's grouping all of it together for a reason to get out of the joint.

For sure, winning is a deodorant. As soon as that stopped it exposed the club for the mess that it is.

Can we trade out powers, dr and tk with Trac, to a big club of course. Then they can have perfect facilities, big crowds, premiership coaches every year etc

Enough

I think that’s a bit of banter compared to some of the comments on here so no not enough.
The "don't support us then" rubbish is tiresome. People are allowed to be critical of the club and not bury their heads in the sand.
