Very disappointed in him if he heads off. He's had a pretty good run under multiple coaches and had been developing well.

If he goes there I hope he rots and (metaphorically) drowns in Dangerfield's web of self-loving gizz.

Altona to Arden st 26 mins.

Altona to baked spud stadium 52 mins.
If he's stupid enough to base a contract decision on where he lives, then I'll pack his bags as he'll be too dumb to perform into a serious game plan.
Rent out the Altona property and lease somewhere closer to Spud Oval. Simple.

Personally, I hope he stays as his improvement this season has been solid and I can see him fitting into our next finals side.

I'd happily take a second rounder. We need room for Phillips, Thomas, Curtis and pick 1 from later this year.

All good and it would be nice if announced sooner than later, poor North have another PP.

So Robert must have forgiven the Cats. lol
Damir prefers his losing GFs to his winning one?

Ha dunno but he once was unhappy with the Cats. Be interesting as we've said we want to keep him, but the $$ and years are the issue.

The Cats will have 15 players over 30 next season. That isn't a judgement but a fact. Maybe they'll do the longer term deal as they need some younger players.

Miserable campaigner. Not you, Old Boy, Damir.

Anyone, I'm in the "whatever" camp with Scott. Stay, go, suit yourself.

Seems the story in the HS has changed from likely to stay to likely to go, the new detail being him apparently buying a house in Altona, if that is all that has caused the change in opinion, it is a pretty long bow to draw, but I guess that is footy media 101!

IF he is set on getting to Geelong, it will be disappointing, he is currently best 22 and required, but we have been pretty solid in recent times of keeping required players and if we were to lose one, he would be at the "disappointing" rather than "disaster" end of the scale.

A lot of water to go under the bridge, hopefully he stays, but, Geelong's picks are likely to be towards the end of each round, so a second rounder is likely to be mid 30s (currently 36), they also have 46, maybe 36 and 46 with our 55 going back?

This reeks IMO. As mentioned earlier, Stephen Wells rarely misses. He clearly sees something in Bailey that the bf whip lashers don’t. They’ll get him cheap, put him on an appropriate S&C program and play him in his proper position. 188cm, elite runner, multi-positional, 22 years old, excellent kick on goal, decent field kick - you’d be foolish not to think he wouldn’t thrive in a good system.

It’s a real shame, but I get it. The club has been a f*kn mess the last few years & we are bound to lose a couple, despite Clarko. Worth noting that Bailey is a bit “different”, which also means the lure of Clarko might not change his perspective, like others.

I’m pretty confident that we will be one we are kicking ourselves about in a couple years.

Re trades, we need to be maximising our draft capital. I’m not keen on losing one of our good young players for a stop gap (eg Esava) who isn’t likely to be relevant when we are actually competing.

Considering even a second rounder will be a late second I’d be pretty disappointed in that return

Ha- I can be at times but not for a long time, the whole life flashing before your very eyes type stuff, does wonders.

So am I, he stays he goes. He'd want to improve his tackle count I reckon.
