Imagine if it was one of your own players.

We just had Brayshaw retire at 28 due to concussion.
Simpkin has had 4 concussions in 12 months.

This is people's lives and wellbeing here.
Webster should be having a long holiday
8-10 weeks.
let me see
previous concussions not relevant to this case

McCartin retires due to concussion,
Dempster - as above
Koby Stephens - as above

Wont someone think of the kids.................
Anyway not ideal for old Webster out of contract and a big holiday.

Bit of a nothing player.
a bit like you're nothing of a club then. Still, Jimmy has more of the sprouted "shinboner spirit" than the actual North list

Gerald Waterly is a prissy nerd.

A real just a little too close to his mother type

?

That is exactly what I said, he will punished severely. Quit the hysterics.

Imagine if it were one of my own? Like you don't think this has ever happened to anyone else??

There's a giant catalogue of CTE hits on youtube if you're bored.

This is the AFL's fault for not being hard on it decades ago. They would be punished severely in future, too.

I agree but I'm saying the outrage and it being a big story is justified.

AFL need to make an example of Webster.

Others on here saying any different is just saints supporters being tribal about their player.

The "St Kilda tax" and changing rules at the cost of St Kilda isn't being tribal, it's a real thing 😄 No doubt, after decades of sweeping it under the carpet, NOW is the time the AFL will make an example of someone.

As long as they are consistent going forward. But I won't hold my breath.

They don't need to make an example. Just suspend him for what he deserves. Which is likely 6 weeks. Everyone knows CTE is bad, we don't need to string up known psychopath Jimmy Webster.
Time for bed mate

Billy Longer would be a descent backup ruck around now.

I figure Webster will get 5-6 in light of recent thoughts on the subject. More than that is bullshit.

North have also had various umpiring rules changed because of us.
We all feel shafted sometimes.

AFL would want to act or big lawsuits and $$$ will be hitting them in years to come.

Webster hit at least twice as bad as SPP hit which got 4 weeks.
So should be at least 8 weeks then maybe up to 10 given it was completely intentional left the ground and Simpkin history of concussion.

He was also smiling afterwards and his family mocking the whole thing on social media not a good look.

Frame it.

Were you outraged when Ziebell knocked out Nick Riewoldt with this cowardly cheap shot?

He was suspended for 4 weeks for that and it was arguably worse than what Webster did.

Riewoldt had a history of concussions too and Ziebell had a history of being a faux tough guy cheap shot merchant.

AFL haven't acted previously, the lawsuits will come, guaranteed.

I was surprised SPP only got 4. Whatever Webster gets I'll accept, it doesn't really matter as long as this is the line in the sand going forward. 6, 8, 10, whatever.

A player's medical history should have absolutely ZERO to do with length of a suspension. Taking the field with a previous condition is completely the player's and their doctor's call. It's like going diving off the 10m board but you don't even know how to swim... WTF do you expect? You don't want to get hit in the head but you play a full 360 degree contact sport... ok then.

Don't get me wrong, Simpkin might be in a world of hurt later in life. But if he's so concerned, he shouldn't be playing, like everyone else hanging up the boots. Pretty simple. It has nothing to do with length of suspension.
