what are you on about. You make it about Essendon and then when I continue, it gets turned and made about Carlton. Lay off the kool aid please so we can continue

Yeah. Carlton is pretty sweet for KPD. You need KPD to replace H&H, who are done. You dont need small midfielders. Key defenders are the safer option for you.

Or do you think you dont need a rebuild? In which case...

what the hell are you on about?!

You should probably leave the list management articulation to people who have an idea.

imho, we would be better served trading 6 for two picks in the teens. Sure, we have some holes in our list, we are getting a free hit with a reasonably rated KPD (Cody Brand - NGA) and our two mainstays (H&H) are still contracted for 1 & 2 more years each. Our small midfield brigaide is bigger than anyone else in the comp (to us anyways).

The kids rated about 7 seem nice picks, it seems not much is going to seperate that next tier down so if we can grab two then we'd be better served going that way.

Anyways, it's shown you know very little about our list. It has not a lot to do with Saad going to Carlton.

Removing the butting of heads with Skull Face and your good self, why aren't Dow and O'Brien not developing as quickly as one would hope?

There are three guys that genuinely interest me and another two we would be silly to not ask the question about.

Dow (187cm/83kg), Stocker (184cm/83kg), O'Brien (184cm/78kg) and we would be silly to not ask the question of Tom De Koning (203cm/97kg) and Brodie Kemp (192cm/82kg) despite almost knowing the answer to the polite enquiry.

I still hold hope of Carlton's 2021 first rounder, doubt it happens. I have always held firm that Carlton won't have pick 7 come draft night and will be involved with Saad somehow.
TDK is our future starting ruck, almost there now so yes be wasting your time asking same with Kemp we didnt draft a guy that wouldn't play only to give him away now his value is higher then Saad as it stands.

Bit of a lost year for Dow and LOB, make or break if they make it next year neither have developed AFL bodies. Stocker looks great last year, didn't handle the trip the QLD and went home. I don't think we get what they are worth and having done the hard yards with them i'd rather see if they make it then trade them for what 2nd round picks?

Getting closer to the 7 we're after... 👍
Is that you Dodo?
Or is it Slobbo?
Or maybe Timmy?

The only people saying Saad is worth pick 7 are the Essendon people in the media and your delusional list manager.

Keep your expectations real and you won’t be disappointed.

Saad is worth a mid-late first rounder. Carlton will arrange a trade of picks to get one of theses picks and offer it up for trade.

If Dodo doesn’t take it as per the Daniher deal last year your team again loses out. How embarrassing that would be for a so called professional football club.

How you getting 2 late 1sts if we get 2 of Geelongs before you ( because you know, 6 is better for the Cats than 7) and now probably end up with both of the Lions 1sts for Joey...? 🤔

You don’t have a mid-late first, so 7 for Saad and something coming back is about ballpark as far as Carlton is concerned.

Whether you trade 7 to Essendon and get the something back from us, or trade it to the Dogs or Geelong and then on-trade a something to us really makes no difference to you, it’s just posturing.

By the first day of trade period it probably won’t be 7 anyway as the free agency window opens before then.

You do know Dodo has burnt a number of bridges due to his pathetic trade posturing don’t you? Why would other teams do him a favour?

Please provide your sources re the two trades you have suggested Essendon have miraculously negotiated.

No arguments from me. Carlton will most likely use pick 7 as part of the trade deal for Saad.

My post was responding to your Essendon mates saying he was worth 7 alone (or near enough to it).

I have said on numerous occasions something will come back mate.

Utter vitriol again. If he’d burnt bridges he wouldn’t have a job. Stop making up stuff again.

You want sources for something an Essendon poster has said, Essendon supporters call your compatriots out for making stuff up. It’s like some sort of tough guy stance.
Either believe it, or don’t.

We'd probably ask for your second back next year.

I would almost do this. A pick around 24 - 30 isn’t a bad thing. I doubt we make it though, some want to see us burn and hope we finish bottom 2 which is a very real possibility.

Talk about tough guys. Have a look at Mr keyboard warrior himself!!

I don’t believe him and I think he’s made it up. If he proves otherwise I’ll concede. But he won’t...

Was in reference to the constant statements that Carlton WILL NOT exchange pick 7 with Essendon when many media reports suggest the otherwise.

My compatriots and I call them out as making it up, you guys try and ask for reports etc etc. it’s double standards here mate

Yoda, rather than this constant to and fro, what do you think Saad is work in terms of a single outright pick

LOB wont be traded

Back to the question, forget what picks each club has. What is Saad worth, in a single pick in value
I think 10-15 would represent fair value for Saad, so a Saad + 2nd for 7 isn't really out of the question in terms of value

The AFL put a point index system on draft picks for this exact reason. Carlton say 7 is too high, Ess say 18 is too low.. this values him exactly where most people are valuing him.. let's not get into semantics...
Yeah except in this case, Essendon people are wrong and Carlton people are correct.

Value isnt unrealistic. I see his value in the 16-20 range

Either way, I would suggest most list managers would look to split pick 7 for 2 late 1sts or trade back to still have a late 1st for Saad

Only way I would handover pick 7, is swapping future 1sts 2nds + their 3rd this year

I don't think 7 will go to Essendon. Only if their future 2nd round pick comes back would it even be considered (as they're likely to finish in the bottom 2).

Our first trade will be be very early in trade week. 7 out to either Cats, Lions or Doggies. That will bring Dudoro into the reality that he doesn't have much in the way of leverage.

I don't think they will finish bottom 4, even if they lose JD, Saad and Fantasia, they will bring in some mature talent. They also have some talented youth
