Interesting that his concerns over the direction of the club appear to be the reason for his potential departure but his main suitors are Carlton and North rather than say the Tiges or Cats.
Blues aren't looking so bad.
Add Kemp to the midfield next year. Curnow hopefully gets back and strengthens that forward line.
If the cash is there from the Blues, you'd have to consider it. He was close to joining them too.

I'd say Geelong and Hawks would be out given the travel
Saints seem ok downback.

Dees, Blues or Dogs could be good suitors for him

Dogs are pretty well stocked so I think you can rule us out.

ignore this year and our diabolical setup.
He's been lobbing his kicks a lot.
Check out last year and he will generally lace out a pace to players he has no business even seeing. Periphery vision is something else.

Silver lining on Saad leaving and McKenna retiring, we may be forced to think about attacking from the centre square like a normal football team.

If that cash is on the table from North or Carlton, we'll hopefully be getting a top 10 pick (North hold Dees 1st)

You won't get a top 10 pick

Forget the money you think he is being offered, as it really isnt a factor, he is not worth a top 10 pick

Maybe not top 10 but a pick in the 10-20 range.

Finished 3rd in the b&f and is regarded as one of the best small lock down defenders in the league that can break the lines

Who ever gets him will need to cough up

I was thinking the same too - and extra year into Walsh certainly makes their midfield look very good. Cripps finally gets the support he needs.

met our list manager? :p

If he's being offered upwards of 650k a year or more, we're well within reason to ask for a top 10 pick.
Saad's value probably sits in the 15-25 range, closer to 15. Nobody is going to give up a top 10 pick. Imagine he'll end up going for a good pick and a good player though.

ill take a pick around 20 and a player.

And whilst i agree on the price, his suitors don't hold that pick. And we don't have a lot of capital to send back in change.

Given how compromised and unknown this years draft is, pick 10 vs pick 15-18 is hard to differentiate given there is unlikely a clear view of who falls where.
Be an interesting trade period if we're looking at anywhere up to 3-5 players being key pieces. i might just switch off and check in when it's over.

top 3 B&F
Good chance for AA squad
Fielding offers reportedly as high as 650k plus

If it was free agency we'd be looking at pick 7 in compensation return.
Wondering if this needs to be an option the league looks at (voluntary free agency)

Plowman finished top 3, pantsed Walters, Papley and Cameron, will finish top 10 this year, but would still be only worth a mid 2nd. Let's stop using BNF's as a value of players

Saad is in his prime, and like most players of his age, he may maintain that form, but won't get better. Given his role, age, characteristics, he has 4 years max, before he starts to decline(like the majority of players of his ilk), add to that he is OOC

That's why he isn't worth a top 10 pick
