Neither of that changes the logo, you can still see what it would look like in good quality straight on, it’s rubbish.
It really does, if you're logical about it.

Skew the original logo 40%, and then take a photo on an angle. I can assure you you'd think the proportions are off.

Pardon the intrusion.

I think it’s almost there, the basic shape of the crow is fine. They’ve just butchered the area around the wing trying to integrate the red and yellow.

This is a crude edit but I think it looks miles better with the wing simplified like this.

This is so close. Clean it up, replace the monkey wrench feet and you've got a stew going.

Given we’ve seen a higher quality version and it still looks the same shit, just higher quality, I don’t agree.

I've heard this before and it's wrong. We have used black crows before and it looks good.

We are not limited to 3 colours, crows are black, it's completely fine to use it.
It’s my opinion. I can’t think of too many sporting teams logos that the main part is a colour that’s not the teams colour?

I reckon someone at 9 has recreated the 'leaked' image so they have a hi-res version to present on the news. Someone with Illustrator could do it in in 20 minutes.

I just can't believe its the final logo. The red and gold parts on the wing are all kinds of ****ed up. Its not a design choice, its piss poor execution. There's no way any professional (or even us) organisation would launch it in that state.

I’m trying to get a feel for where the picture is from. It’s low res and looks crappy as a result. Is it a screen? Or fabric? The colours don’t align to our colours which would be gospel. The yellow font is washed out too and the font itself looks cheap.

I’m no graphic design expert but even I can tell there’s some fundamentals wrong with this.
The font is terrible

if only we had become the Sharks lol would have been much easier to come up with logo designs..........

Just love to see the graphic design wank story to explain the concepts.

For anyone that's ever worked with graphic designers, you know what i'm talking about.

"The angling of the crow wings represents the animal in it's landing motions, signifying the Adelaide Football Club Team aggressively coming in to perch on the opposition, an imposing spectacle when viewed from below".

"The size 10 spanner claws showcase the bird poised to undo the fasteners of the opposition team and the competition, with the rigidity of the angled design promoting strength and security".

Logo absolutely needs to be in the colour of the team. Kangaroos aren't blue. Eagles aren't blue and yellow. Cats are rarely blue.

Anthropomorphic mascot can be, and is, black.

Just dont see any need for it to be black and it doesn’t really suit navy, which half our merch and home jumper is.

In the logo itself, I'm completely fine with using black in principle. In the mock ups over the years (on here) they do tend to look a bit busy, the 4th colour.

With regards to overall branding, we use it and it generally looks good and makes sense.

We actually have one of the better nicknames in the comp that mostly has been used poorly. A lot of potential.

We do?

This is 1,000 times better, but I still don't like the angles on the lines.

If we want the hoops to be represented, then they are horizontal and equal width. We shouldn't deviate from that.

I like the idea of having the crow shaped like the SA coastline as well.

I'd counter that by saying would WC or North want to use the natural colours of those animals? Would it look good?

Black is different.

The only other AFL logo that uses a color not part of the club's colors is Essendon with the grey bomber plane.

Richmond has a bit of white in the tiger design, not sure if that counts
