Just complain and offer no solution, can never be pleased. Campaign against the current logo for 13 years and already moved onto the next campaign before anything has been announced.

If they got things right, that wouldn't happen. Even reasonably right.
Most are not designers so asking them to do better makes zero sense.

I think supporters have every right to voice an opinion on their clubs logo. The club is after all asking these same fans to wear it through merch.
I don’t think you find many people were opposed to our previous logos prior to the raptor head.

Anyway, I am no design expert, BUT:

1. Who cares about the image of a crow bird? I don’t. I have very little attachment to any of the crow imagery ever attached to the club. Maybe the cartoon crow on the original crest as a sentimental retro thing but don’t want us to go back there.

2. We all care about ADELAIDE football club. Even SA country ppl after years of following Adelaide have warm feelings about “Adelaide”. Almost all Collingwood supporters have never lived in or even near Collingwood but they love “Collingwood”.

3. Our home guernsey is great, the colours are good.

So: they should emphasise “Adelaide” and the colours, and de-emphasise the bird.

That might be hard because a long word like Adelaide is hard to fit into a square logo shaped spot. But that’s what good graphic designers are for.

Also - kids love cartoons, so kids need to have cartoon-bird logo and merch as well, but the main logo should be focussed on ‘Adelaide’, not the bird.

That is a very interesting take, not one I agree with, but kudos for going there.
We are the Adelaide Crows or the Crows, would be very odd to de emphasize that.

I think the barebones of the proposed design and the core concept is perfectly fine. A navy crow outlined in gold in a flying pose that calls back to the original logo from the 90s, with red and gold stripes in the wings in reference to our home jumper.

The execution of that concept is the issue.

Which is the same issue with the raptor head. A crow head forming the basis of the design is perfectly fine, but the execution was bad

Depends on what stage this leak comes from.
Hopefully it was the earlier days and it's been improved since then.

Always, “here’s one I found/made/AI”, that if any club had released would be hated just as much.

But a dozen like reactions.

That’s nothing to do with my thoughts of the new logo though, but there’s a huge difference between a “cool graphic” and a logo that has to work small, big, legible on something as small as the header of the AFL website to as big as a sign while driving past, hopefully, a new training facility at 60kmh or whatever, one colour, two colours, on black on white.

Initial thoughts were surely that can't be real. That's cr*p

But someone sent me the photo realigned, and without that stupid blue background. I don't actually mind it.

yeah the dive bomb look improves and would keep the wording straight.

but still so many weird/poor details though. The gap in wings, the double tail, one of the feet is missing a claw etc.

Pardon the intrusion.

I think it’s almost there, the basic shape of the crow is fine. They’ve just butchered the area around the wing trying to integrate the red and yellow.

This is a crude edit but I think it looks miles better with the wing simplified like this.

What would it look like without them? Maybe add a red stroke either inside or outside the yellow outline?

But if the logo was literally just the text of the word Adelaide ... well, that sounds terrible.
