I reckon that might just look messy.

Lots of detail can be messy but that version could definitely deal with a bit extra

I don't think they'll fix anything. Let the initial outcry die down, then announce it with "We were already committed to it and couldn't change. The focus groups loved it."

For what it's worth, I kind of like it. The amendment someone did in here looks better, but I honestly don't think the original is as bad as most people are saying. Though obviously it's all subjective. Many of the options put forward as "better options" looked worse imo.

While this is improvement on the leaked image it’s still missing something imo.

The feathers need a bit more texture or something, to make it less plain looking

Yeah it’s getting there, but something isn’t quite clicking for me.

Our original was a bit basic but they almost perfected the design to give an iconic feel.

Still I think we need a more modern design any attempt to recreate it is drought with danger.

You've got a point there! I was trying to show the wing fanning out, but it doesn't quite have the same dynamic look as the previous version.

Option A is a combo of B and C, and the line of thought that I hope the club follows:

It's still on a weird angle and it has a drop shadow. There also appears to be a mild gradient on the blue of the crow. This screams "this is not the final design and is subject to change".

'Subject to change' doesn't mean it will. I'm subject to a satellite crashing through my ceiling and clocking me on the head, but it ain't going to happen.

FWIW I did send my design in and eventually got a reply - just a vague and generic email from “the Adelaide Football Club”.

Whatever the plan is, the club is sticking to it.

Mate yours is by far the best one I've seen, although I don't know if the head is too similar to the original. I couldn't help but tinker with it, hope you don't mind I just get triggered by crows with yellow beaks.

I think the longer beak makes the full bird look a little stumpy.

I also like the tip of the hat to the old logo with the retro beak.

I genuinely think they will be releasing a very slightly changed Gather Round style logo.
