Plenty of room. No money though
Not so much room either, as can't build too far up because of the flight path.

But you are correct, that $'s are the biggest issue, as the PPP is a great deal for the other party & add the cost of a dud EPAS, health will be even more broke than normal.

Dear AUCC members

Some of you may have read in the Advertiser during the week about a potential relationship between the Adelaide Football Club and the Adelaide University Football Club. These discussions have related to football issues such as top up players for the Crows SANFL team and coaching support.

In relation to the opinion piece on the Crows moving their home base to the city or University, this is pure speculation. The AU signed a 42 year lease for the ovals and hence it is the position of both the AUCC and AUFC that we continue to play at University Oval, as we have done for the past 107 years.

The Blacks have been finding it harder to get good players over the last 5-10 years. Even slipped to Div 2. What worked in the past is more difficult. It is no longer the case that every Uni student plays for them automatically.

Now amateur clubs are better at hanging on to their players, U18's meld with the senior teams, plus they are able to pay a few bucks. A lot of college old scholar teams sniffing around Div 1/2 as well and these colleges were once Uni's major source of players.

PAOC has six senior teams now! Much stronger link to the school.

This change might be exactly what the Blacks need to turn themselves back into a club of choice for good players.

Having worked for and with Adelaide Uni in the past few years, this is the key statement. They're pushing harder and harder for more international students because that's where the money is.

So the old days of students automatically turning out on Saturday for the Blacks are long, long gone and aren't coming back.

In response to that Port guy who wandered in here ... it's a tradition that's going to be lost anyway.

It's not going to happen. Rowey spoke with SANFL clubs today and the plan is to make the crows and port weaker not give us a development team. Crows have said they are happy with current set up

See, anything that appears in a sentence after the phrase 'Rowey spoke with ... ' automatically is null and void.

Same goes with 'honey, I know you're watching the footy, but ...'

We're going to be paying $1m per day for the next 30+ years I've heard. And don't get me started about EPAS, what an expensive disaster that is.

Aren't the Makris group building the new AFC clubrooms on the old LeCornus site?
I like your thinking!

Unfortunately makris & Adelaide city council will continue to prove who is more stubbornly stupid!

They're struggling all right. And need to really ramp up activity to even give nrah a chance. Just be grateful ao is finished. ..

Epas has less accountability than the afc...
… & even less competent management! Paying $'s up front before implementing & finding out it won't work. Common business practice to pay installments.

Now the state will need to pay for a 2nd epas… so will cost more than Adelaide oval build!
