Adelaide's decline

Rucci wrote a 4 part article for InDaily a few weeks back. It's was the probably the best I've read from him in years. Seems to have gone quiet again now though. I'd be more than happy if he wrote a few more along the same lines.
The amazing thing is he was basically sacked from the tiser because of being anti crow. Where once having a state full of ambassadors covering the clubs arse and being apologists was a good thing, now it is a massive hindrance to change.

It was and never has been a good thing. Rucci's InDaily pieces reminded he can actually do some research and write a good article. For some reason his work started to resemble Kane Cornes click bait drivel in his last couple of years at the Advertiser

The issue was a large number of your supporters lapped up all the ambassador BS and so never was a groundswell of calls for change. Meanwhile jobs for the boys can happen without question.

And kane cornes, like his father is a complete moron.

Bit hard to hide from it now

He, like Chris McDermott also got sacked from his last media role for daring to question the AFC.

They don't handle criticism well and have way too much pull.

Always found the justifications from Adelaide supporters that McDermott was completely driven by bitterness about being given the arse by Blight in 1996 (McDermott was 33 years of age at the time) some 18 years later as the reason he'd dare criticize the Crows on his radio show. The Crows get their balls cupped so much by the Adelaide media, that even when a former Club Captain makes justifiable critisisms of the club who'd missed the finals the previous 2 seasons, he is fired from his radio spot 6 months in.

Yes, I’m sure Port have never made complaints to media outlets *shakes head*

This whole thing begs the question.

Who's the South Australian Football version of Rupert Murdoch?
Ideally would get Wayne Jackson involved, preferably on the board as Chairman.

Perhaps when someone comes clean on the camp it will need it’s own thread ...
Right after Chapman's promised explanation of Tippet-gate to members...

They had us merged, defunct, rebranded or sent to Tasmania usually in the same article.
It's healthier for SA football to have 2 AFL sides... otherwise no competition in the state.

Imo, helped us win our flags with Port recently joining.

I mean, who has all the power in South Australian footy media
Not dissimilar to Victoria.

Much is controlled by CrocMedia... then there are the usual TV & radio channels & the Tiser.

CrocMedia

CrocMedia.

The WWE of footy.

Wants to hoard all available talent without wanting competition.

Hutchy turned an interesting and a much investing product in SEN1116 into a whole lot of nup.

Ch 7 Adelaide are absurdly pro Crow. 5AA is massively pro Crow. The Advertiser is massively pro Crow. MMM has the bloke with the shittest voice in the world Mark Ricciuto on their breakfast show. Sure they've got more supporters than Port, but it's just hilarious the free ride they get. Apologists, Protectors, Ambassadors, Defenders, Excuse Makers and Sychophants as far as the eye can see.

I reckon the old Bradbury/McIntyre system helped you more than we ever did.
1997?

Imo, having 2 teams massively reduced the spotlight of the Crows being the hottest ticket in town.
