so…

newchurch has kicked more goals in the sanfl as a small forward than rowie, murphy and mchenry have combined as small forwards in the AFL..

and instead of going ”shit, lets maybe chuck bucky into the AFL side and see if he can find the goals consistently there too because the other three small forwards certainly can’t” we instead start playing him on a wing…

he played on a wing all game against westies on the w/e and he’s been named in the centre for this weeks game..

you could just about be easily convinced that this club is deliberately trying to slow the development of its youth…

so many utterly bewildering decisions..

I would suggest the crows are only doing what should have been done in the lad’s junior years but wasn’t

So the club picks up a 25 year old sanfl player in the mid season draft who isn’t fit to play?
Honestly.
I think the club went for the local, cheap mid on a short contract with the view they will go hard in the trade. He might add something so why not.

In contrast Carmichael must have wanted more money or longer tenure so the club said no.

It's the only logic that makes sense

Nice that we’ve got two SANFL-listed guys starting at the centre bounce with Pedlar neatly tucked in the forward pocket.

Bloody hope Luke rotates through the middle.
SANFL midfield is also stacked.

Honestly.

You don’t draft anyone with a week by week view. A minor injury is not going to stop a club drafting a player they like.

If Carmicheal is the more talented option, which I think he is, then it doesn't make sense at all. We should be trying to get as much talent onto the list as possible, not worrying about a couple of dollars or contract length. Realistically if Carmicheal was chasing an 18 month contract and $200k who is he pushing out of the list?
