I'm a Glenelg member, but the whole "No Crows in the SANFL" stuff starting up again is quite humorous to me. As Godden said in the presser today, we've been in the league for 9 years and haven't made a GF and probably only made finals like 3 or 4 of those years, it's not like we've dominated the competition to the detriment of every other club in the league.

It will be a crap grand final if we're in there compared with North Adelaide vs Glenelg for instance

Just the vibe in the crowd will be off

If we made the grand final and had a 40k crowd all cheering on a smashing of an SANFL team, that would be embarrassing. Cringe.

If it was a beautiful spring day and with supporters starved of success, I wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe a Crows SANFL GF appearance would be the catalyst to move to the VFL - I don't think anyone in SANFL land would want it
From what I'd heard we don't really want to leave the SANFL to move to the VFL or a reserves competition and I'm not sure what mechanisms, if any, the SANFL have to kick us out prior to our 15 year contract being up.

It is kinda funny though that in the original contract the SANFL put in stipulations about us "playing to the line" and needing SANFL doctors second opinion on sending players in early for elective surgeries and not resting players if they were fit to play.

Be competitive and treat it seriously, but don't actually be successful seems to be what they wanted.

He’s had a really poor year but obviously they don’t rate Strachan. That’s completely different.

I'm not sure what point that you're making. The point that I made was that if ROB was held to the 100% effort requirement from Nix, then there'd be a lot more performances like the ones that followed his dropping from the 1s. Are you arguing against that or ignoring it to make a separate point about Strachan? Either way, I'm keen to find out and explore.

All I’m saying if is if nicks didn’t like the effort shown and he thought Strachan was up to it, he would drop ROB. The fact was he thought an average Rob was better then a good Strachan.

It’s easy to drop any player in the team but they need to be replaced and or upgraded. Was rob poor?? Yes in poor form he still gave 100%.

What difference would that be to Port supporters coming out in 2014, 2017 and 2019?
