I'm not sure Burgo can fix all of his deficiencies. The most perennially overrated player on bigfooty
Does have a fair amount of talent though which we lack but he’s not ready , needs more time with Burgo
The concern I have will borlase is his lack of pace. I don't think he will make it along with mcasey who I'm certain will not make it. You can throw Frampton and Worrell in the same pile which means we must trade in a decent KPD from another club as a matter of urgency. If Butts and Murray went down god forbid we are completely stuffed. Is this the only game ypu have watched. Has been good for last two seasons. Normally a strong performer
He's been getting better and better until 3-4 weeks ago and since then he's been on a pretty bad downhill run. I dunno how much to take away from how he looked tonight, we did our dry weather seniors system and that needs the mid to pretty much break even or the forwards and defenders look terrible because of the breakdown. We got soundly beaten in there so who knows how to read it.Not a good day but he's been pretty handy all season
No one's saying the umpires cost us the game but we are saying it is biased.Yeh the umpires cost us the game, it’s the sanfl’s fault we were shite…. Blah blah blah …. I want my dummy back…. Waaah

Would pedlar benefit from being taken out ofthe SANFL side todo a mid season mini preseason something like tex did a while back. It might help him to an improved end of season leading into a big off season to get ready for next year. Play the long game as this year should be a development yearWith a few omissions we were a fair bit down on our normal roster and that hurt a bit.
I see a lot of people commenting here about the lack of form of some players and some of it is warranted (Pedlar) and some of it makes me wonder whether they've watched the games, especially recent ones. (McAsey).
On Pedlar, his main issue seems to be not getting enough of the ball. He might be relatively unfit, he looks like that at times where he drops away from following a contest even more than Strachany. Its hard to tell though, perhaps he's carrying an injury. I also think we look to have gone back more to doing the tap it down to the ruckmans feet and force a contest more in the SANFL in the last few weeks (one wonders if that was a product of us going away from that at AFL level there for a few weeks (most notably GWS game?). So that's going to make all our mids look pretty bad and none looked particularly good tonight, Taylor was around it but just couldn't get anything clean. Schoenberg was the best but he finished with less possessions that perenially low possession getters Chayce Jones and Cook.
Anyway, was frustrated at watching the game and how it played out, but after calming down, with our gameplan, with us losing a fair roster of AFL guys, with us playing our dry weather AFL level game even in pouring rain, with a young team, with one sided umpiring, it probably wasnt that bad of a result.

I’m sure you have at The ParadeBlizzard conditions at Thebby now..Can't say I've seen worse playing conditions than this...lights on now..
Far out South with 200 tackles WWT with 139i assume conditions are lovely at oval avenue too, south with 94 tackles to half time

Nicks doesn't care about class, skill and players that can kick goals. He feels that pressure alone will kick goals regardless how unskilled the player is. That's why Cook isn't in the side for starters. It's also why he puts out best and most skilled player in Dawson in a lockdown role down back where he is totally wasted. Newchurch should be getting a game. Unfortunately we have to put up with this shit until he is sacked either this year or next.Someone talk to me about Newchurch. From what i've seen he looks dangerous around goals and more or less averages around 2 goals a game. He is pretty quick from what I can tell as well and appears to have upped his tackling (more Mcadam level than Mchenry). Am I missing something? We don't need him to have 15 touches a game
Shouldve been a lock for Saturday’s game.. was the perfect time to bring him in..Someone talk to me about Newchurch. I'd like to see him play against the Suns alongside Rachel, McAdam and the talls. It simply must translate to a higher scoring forward line.Someone talk to me about Newchurch. I think that many recommending the promotion of Newchurch have not watched him closely enough. Admittedly, he can kick a few goals, but his MO is that he does very little apart from that. Can we afford zero effort/output apart from a couple of opportunities in the square?I'd like to see him play against the Suns alongside Rachel, McAdam and the talls. Can't possibly field that forward line.Nicks doesn't care about class, skill and players that can kick goals. He feels that pressure alone will kick goals regardless how unskilled the player is. We should have Tex, McAdam, Fogarty, Cook, Newchurch, Gollant, Rachele in our forward line. That forward line can win games. Play Thithorpe further up the group if his form warrants it.
I know youre trying to be ironic, but the reality with Tariek at this point is that he gets a lot of goals cheaplyCan't possibly field that forward line.
Who will apply the relentless but futile pressure? Who will give away multiple free kicks a game through reckless effort? Who will miss the crumbs because they were so far up the ground? Who will push up ground to create extra numbers around the contest but not have any impact? Who will definitely miss set shots from 25 m out directly in front.
You have to be careful when making changes, you just never know what you might miss...
