Eagles fans using injuries as an excuse when we were missing Hogan, Watts, Jones and Brayshaw and had Salem and Garlett do hammies in the third and Viney playing with one arm. Was only close because of the 10 frees in a row. :rainbow:

Injuries have only been discussed because Jones and Watts being out keeps being mentioned.

We won last week without Naitanui and Kennedy, and we lost this week without them. Melbourne played better than Geelong, we played better last week. End of.

I would rather play Melbourne with any 22 you can put on the park if it meant we had Naitnaui and Kennedy fit. Couldn't give a shit about LeCras or Wellingham or anyone else out injured or playing WAFL etc. But that's not how footy works, you field who you have and play as best you can. Two of the better performed players on the field were McDonald (not a forward) and Petrie (wouldn't be in the team if not for both our ruckmen and our FF being injured).

You want to talk about soft, let's start with the 22 blue and yellow girl scouts the West Coast Eagles fielded last night.

Your best player was Drew Petrie, a lumbering dinosaur that couldn't even get a game for North Melbourne Kangaroos.

I don't know who your full-back is but Tom ******* McDonald kicked five goals on him. Tom's never played a full game forward in his entire life. Imagine if either one of Jesse Hogan or Jack Watts had played; they'd have kicked twenty on their own before the half-time siren.

Against 19 fit players, and with SIGNIFICANT help from the umpiring squad, the mighty Eagles still couldn't defend a three goal lead for 5 minutes.

That's not just soft, that's absolutely pathetic.

Your team is cooked.
Bit harsh.
