Aren’t statistics amazing. Yesterday Collingwood hadn’t beaten Richmond in a Final for nearly 80 years. Today Richmond haven’t beaten Collingwood in a Final for nearly 40 years.

What I love about our game is on any given night a team can beat you.

Richmond the team has done well the past 2 years... a premiership, finish no 1, the home ground record, the huge membership numbers. These facts are to be marveled. But their supporters have overshadowed all of this. I have not seen one post on here in the past month from any Richmond supporter suggesting they will lose any of the finals. I have posted basically everytime that I was concerned the Pies would go down to West Coast, to GWS, to Richmond. And this isn't because I think the Pies are no good or these teams are all amazing teams... but I gave respect to our opposition. I didn't fool myself into thinking we were a certainty anywhere along the line, because as you said... any team can beat you on any given night. But these Richmond fans went beyond that, and thought their team was just bulletproof. Just desserts that they lost if you ask me.

What about Astbury? Clealy he wasn't right to play. The Gastro may have eased, but he would have lost a heap of water from his system and energy.
