You stupid ignorant w***er!!
obviously a pathetic millennial...
to bring race into a joke about the obviously only “Taiwanese” player in the comp. Being called the best Asian player in the game . Pull your f’ing head in you Tool.
and please if this offends, moderators feel free to boot me out.
some people need to get a sense of humour. Stop pulling this bullshit race card. Jong is a great player. End of story.
Oooo... I think I’ve found your trigger.

Tigers very clean and clever going forward, especially early. Pulled our players left and right, up and down and eventually just walk through that high press Bevo loves. We didn't set Richmond much of a task and they dealt with us accordingly.

Frustrating outfit, this current squad. On our day, there is enough talent and fervour to beat anyone. But they don't have enough days in them to really be a threat, I fear. You can map out how our games will go in the first handful of contests. Sometimes the scoreboard pressure isn't applied and we regroup, but mostly if we go three goals down, it's game over. The passage of play that went roughly like Gowers to Wallis, Wallis miss, RFC coast to coast Dusty goal was early on, but that was the match winner.

Far to few contributors. We were a one legged man in an arse kicking contest. Hopped about and were present, but never a threat.

just pointing out the 5 throws in a row your team disguised as handballs.

Did you happen to catch some of the dogs freebies? McCrae watch him gets tackled drops his knees in a forward motion brings the player down with him initiating in the back and gets the free lol. You missed those, understandable though as you were to busy critiquing every Richmond free.

How about Castagna when the dogs player crashed into him front on and no free or when Caleb daniel blocked lynch front on didn't even look at the ball = no free. Lynch got one perhaps lucky guess the dogs player did himself no favours by not turning at the last sec to even to pretend to go for the ball.
Seems you have a bit of tunnel vision.

Beating up on weak teams isn't that impressive

Lol weak. They were 5th on the ladder with 5 wins.

Your first 4 wins going by your analogy of beating up on weak teams were Melb, Sydney, Crows and Freo
The pies win was very impressive no doubt tore them a new one. But with De Goey, Pendles, Sidebottom and Howe out they were somewhat weak, see what im doing here ;)

Was a good win against a team we struggle against in the past and the doggies always matchup well against Richmond

Best part of the game for me was the form of our younger players 'we know' but the rest of the supporters wouldnt of been aware

Chol , Balta , Bolton , Ross , Egg-Smith , Aarts . all showing good signs and getting games with the usual crew injured or unavailable

best Team would include Astbury,Caddy,Vlastuin,Houli,Edwards,Nankervis,Rioli

Doggies had a bad day but are a good side with a great midfield that just wasn't on last night.

Agreed, it was also a weak win. I'm consistent.

What about the Giants first couple of years?

Richmond were on in the first quarter. Feel like we were just terrible in the 2nd. The rest of the match was a no contest.

I feel like teams that bring intense pressure are going to belt us in Queensland when it's slippery because we overuse the handball.

huge improvement and great to see players who have been down really hunting the ball, lead by our best hunter our skipper.
was a stepping stone and now the real tests to come in Brisbane,Port & WCE these sides are top 4 material and i feel the Bulldogs arent there just yet
so its gonna be a great watch over the next few weeks to see if we can maintain the standard
FWIW i think Caddy,Rioi & Stack arent in our best 22 this year based on the dynamics of AFL,version 2020,jurys out on Pickett & Graham and you can add in Houli's desire for the contest when back in cos he'll need prove it hasnt waned.
Reiwoldt ???? i know hes sucking up the ops 2nd best defender, but geez hes struggling to get his feet off the ground,i mean he looks f***n bogged
i cant see him getting away with it against the likes of Collingwood,GWS.St.Kilda & WCE...i guess the upside is eventually you'd swear hes gotta come good ?
lets hope so,it is a concern
Vlastuin.Edwards,Prestia,Astbury,Nankervis in for Stack,Pickett,Soldo,Ross & Markov ,a watch on Reiwoldt and Egg-smith & Houli to vy for the HB spot
In the space of 9 games Bolton,Aarts,Chol,Baker,Higgins & Egg-Smith have gone past Rioli,Pickett,Soldo,Graham & Stack

Can someone please explain front on contact? If you make a clean spoil does it matter if you take out the player coming the other way?
Crozier went back early in the game and made a brave spoil and commentators were suggesting it should have been a free against..... This is after they see the replay where he clearly makes a clean spoil.

My understanding is its whether the player spoiling has his eyes on the ball or on the man, Crozier clearly had eyes on the ball the whole time and made clean contact with the ball. If he was watching the Richmond player and not the ball it would have been a free if he'd made any contact to the Richmond player regardless of whether he spoilt the ball also.

Wow. I woudn't have expected that.
Didn't realise how rare it was or how rare teams win in those situations.

I believe its dependant on whether you contact the ball or man first and whether you have eyes on the ball or man.

I.e. even if you have eyes on the ball, you can't just jump into an opponent and take them out without contacting the ball first, and secondly you can't just eyes on the man jump into them and get lucky and fist the ball. Its one of those discretion calls though where an umpire has to use their judgement so its subjective.

Note the first 2 words.

Is the the object of the player making contact the man or the ball?

If he seems to be going for the ball (eyes on the ball, etc.) then it's OK.
If he seems to be going for the man, then it's not OK.

As with so many rules, there is a bit of a judgement call there, and when in doubt, it *should* be play on, but that's the gist of it.

Which explains the Keith decision, although he did not impact much, he had eyes only for Lynch. In the end in slow motion he did quite a good job not to infringe much, but at full speed and without impacting the ball is always a free. So well played umps in regard to the Crozier spoils.

Yeah I think both decisions were correct from the umpires.

Dogs with a full list are a good side and on their day as good as any. Their depth, Gowers/Lloyd etc did little. Regarding the umps I'd much rather see them pay more free's for in the back than holding the ball. Much rather protect a player with his head over the ball than the bloke waiting to tackle. All the in the backs were there as they ended up lying on their backs, even if perhaps they were holding the ball.
