Most people were on the Swans bandwagon after week 1 of the finals. All that's changed is that they had a close win against Collingwood (like Geelong did) and Geelong had one strong showing against a Brisbane side that didn't really turn up.

It's a toss of the coin next week. If Sydney had just had their Melbourne game and Geelong had just had their Collingwood game Sydney would likely be favourites. When it's been proven to death there's zero correlation between ease of PF win and premiership chance.
Sydney's QF win probably doesn't look as strong in hindsight though considering Melbourne's loss to the Bears in the SF.

Don't bring up the 1886 game with me. Still spewing as McShane was nothing but a cheat and the umpires let him get away with s**t no one else got away with.
I thought he umpired well.

It's been a great season and finals series'.Both sides ran into Collingwood during the finals, both tough matches.
Geelongs the stand out team of 2022.And showed there power in the big Preliminary win. There power forwards pose a huge problem for the Swans in the GF.
Sydney had an amazing season. The enourmous amount of young talent on there list is mind blowing.Showed
great character holding on Vs the Pies.Could it be Buddy's last game if Sydney win. Will Buddy have a big game.

Geelong been the best team all year. Multiple AAs in basically every line. Been able to rest key players and still win. Even managed to get Rohan into form for finals. Heads above the rest of the comp this year.

Sydney struggled mid-season. Could easily be accused of playing to opposition a lot. Played well against top sides but poorly against the lower ones. Often would go missing for a quarter or a half and sometimes that would be enough to put them out of the game. Then the Essendon loss that spurred them forward to top 4.

Round 2 was a lifetime ago in footy so I wouldn't take much out of it. Teams are different. Players are different. From that game:

Geelong:
OUT - Parfitt, Ratugolea, Dahlhaus
IN - Rohan, Miers, Z. Guthrie

Sydney:
OUT - Cunningham, Kennedy, McLean, Wicks, Campbell*
IN - Fox, Clarke, Papley, Reid, McInerney

*Was the activated sub in the PF

So I wouldn't take much out of the Round 2 game for either side.

Sydney will need to apply their pressure game and really limit the intercept marking game of Geelong. Geelong need to beat Sydney at contested ball and get damaging clearances to beat the Sydney defence 1 on 1 in the air.

Likewise! If there's two GF tickets happy to look into buying them off someone if price isn't too nuts.

De Koning didn't play either, but I do agree with you that a round 2 game really doesn't mean a lot 5-6 months later.

It's available on 7plus just not on PC or mobile.

The ch 7 only broadcast is almost a deal breaker, if Cats weren't playing I wouldn't watch it.

Can't stand shitty ads, half of them will be betting related.
