People keep on knocking Daniher for giving the free away, but he was going to mark that ball if the man in front didn't.
Yeah, I didn't think it was a free. Thought he made a realistic enough attempt.
Plenty of other 50/50 decisions not given either way in the last couple of minutes.

How the AFL has hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through it but can't afford decent goal line cameras is a disgrace to Gil and his leadership team. It'll be 2090 and ARC will still be doing goal reviews with their Nokia 3210 vision FFS
Even a camera pointing straight up would be incredible difficult to show if the ball went over the post definitively. You’d need a Hawkeye type system.
 
Agree but yet another game summing up the umpiring situation. Make the blokes full time at a minimum. Big final and the umps will be talking point. Cant think of another sport where officiating is constantly the talking point like AFL.
I have been saying this for years, there will be a GF decided by the umpires in a big moment, and that’s what it’ll take for the AFL to address it.

AFL is the most unprofessional ‘professional’ sport going around.
