It´s a shame these two didn't finish 1 and 2
So they could meet in the Big dance.
Might still.

Adel, GC, GWS, WB ST.K and Swans all rank higher than BNE for contested possession and we’ve beaten them all.I think Melbourne comfortably, the Pies just can't match it with high contested ball teams like Carlton, Brisbane, Melbourne. They generally shut-down their one dimensional rebound play. Melbourne have enough depth to cover injuries, they shouldnt struggle. Dees by 45.
I wouldn’t bother, you’re talking to one of the biggest Collingwood haters on here. Apparently we’re 1 dimensional despite sitting on top all season. The only way Melbourne wins by 45 points is if they keep us to 25.Adel, GC, GWS, WB ST.K and Swans all rank higher than BNE for contested possession and we’ve beaten them all.
And Rich won 3 flags while ranking in the bottom 5 for CP in each year. So CP is not critical for flag success if you have speed.
Sydney?Ladder position means very little between Collingwood and Melbourne now.
Who wins moves forward, who losers plays this years premier
Still 0-5 vs Melbourne, Brisbane and Carlton this year, that surely says something.Adel, GC, GWS, WB ST.K and Swans all rank higher than BNE for contested possession and we’ve beaten them all.

They have been predictable with their game style, it has been shown teams can figure them out. Couldn't say the same of Richmond, Geelong, Melbourne when in premiership form.I wouldn’t bother, you’re talking to one of the biggest Collingwood haters on here. The Hawks 3-peat sides were ordinary in contested ball also. It hasn’t been a critical factor in well over a decade now.
Who is 0-5 v Melb, Bris and Carl?Still 0-5 vs Melbourne, Brisbane and Carlton this year, that surely says something.
Agreed, avoiding the Blues is key to making the GF.The winner of this game has one hand on the premiership cup
Less funny second time - but nice trySydney?

I’m not really sure what you’re on about. By definition when you’re in “premiership form” you’re winning games. Your “figured out” comment is just hope more than anything else—did you think Melbourne were figured out when they had a flat spot in late 2021?They have been predictable with their game style, it has been shown teams can figure them out. Couldn't say the same of Richmond, Geelong, Melbourne when in premiership form.
If McRae etc can find another way to win props to them, but atm that's where it stands.
Sold out … snow fields closed - should be a good turnout. It does amaze me how 6 pages of this pre game turned into another Carlton Collingwood cockfight.
Anywho, this has to be the most anticipated non-GF final since the 2018 Prelim and its probably bigger than that. Hope Thursday night doesnt deter people from attending.
The odds are very close and I wouldn't be surprised if Melbourne started favouritesWinner should make the GF . Woods played well in last years QF as underdogs against the cats. Interesting to see how they deal with the pressure of being fav this time around.
Why is it a big Pies crowd?Still not convinced about the Pies form they deserve to be favs though.
Big Pies crowd could also be a factor.
Dees will need to start well to silence them! hope it's a good game.
I could be wrong, but I would assume Collingwood got a bigger split allocation of tickets given they have more members. Why is it a big Pies crowd?

'A special type of supporter' to attend a Thursday night Qualifying Final where there winner will stamp themselves as the bona fide flag favourite? You’d expect it. Probably higher allocation. If not that, it is a Thursday night and it takes a special type of supporter to go to the game then.

Can you remind me how long it took for the match to sell out?
Pretty idiotic dig. That was more so a dig at Melbourne supporters as I don’t see them turning up to the match even at this calibre on a Thursday night.
I’ll be surprised if at least 60% of the crowd doesn’t support Collingwood. I’d expect at least 70% but setting 60 as a lower limit.
Pretty idiotic dig.
