hmmm Bulldogs playing against Gold Coast Suns for a top 4 spot.

Given 2016 Grand Final free ride umpiring and still can`t win.

Likely pretenders this year.

Umpire didn't even give the Suns player time to move back, just called the 50m instantly, one of the worst calls I've ever seen! With <10 points in it and not long to go.
How often in games do you hear the umpire say, “back two metres!” The player on the mark immediately complies and play goes on. The umpire last night has now raised the bar to a situation where the defending player stands on where they think the mark is and if they guess incorrectly, with no input from the umpire, then that is an immediate 50 metre penalty. Sorry, but no. Apart from some classic “non decisions” where the Suns weren’t rewarded for tackles that should have drawn frees, the 50 metre penalty and free kick to Weightman were terrible. The umpires concerned should be dropped.

Problem with the 4th umpire is they are looking for frees off the ball, like a forward being held etc.. if they just looked at the play too but saw it all from another angle they’d pick up more things missed by the central umpire.

It happens every game we play.. other teams hate us because we are disciplined, we never give silly free kicks away.. Bevo has drilled it into us. Tin foil hat conspiracy theorists in this thread are not the general footy public

I happened to watch last week, Crows game, nah you seem to get gifted cheap frees often, it isn’t a conspiracy at all - there’s supporters from all walks and teams saying the same thing, I guess we must all be watching it incorrectly.

I thought the non decision to King in the goal square was also telling - especially given the Dogs we’re getting frees for falling over.

King got tackled in a front on marking spoil.

I’m actually ok if it is a non call but only if it happens at both ends.

I’ve slept on it and maintain my view that Cody weightman is scum

Yeah that call was an absolute shocker, along with a number of other decisions. We got kissed on the D with a few and still couldn't get over the line.

Our game aside, the state of umpiring in general across the competition is a farce. Not sure the best way to deal with it going forward, but the umpires really need to be held accountable a lot more than they are.

I just can’t stand that this will go unspoken about in the media all week, we will pretend like this never happened by tomorrows arvo game
The worst officiating of a sporting context I’ve seen in any code of sport globally
Either way up the suns
no 94 prelim north cats worst ever officiating of a pro sports event

Hopefully the same will follow for diveman...
Yes and hopefully it stops for the kid not cheating!
it’s ludicrous

the accolades duckwood got, yet he fashioned the move, and a 20 year old kid did it a few times, stopped it, other teams now target him, and the piece of shitful umps look the other way, time after time.
that Cody one is laughable, how can The afl and the media output it out there now?

his interview wherethe says playing for frees is a craft, how can the umpires reward that and not be passed they are getting deliberately conned?
