Melican caused the situation but Blakey had almost 3 seconds to make a decision before heat came and went a short, loopy handball. He's a great rebounding threat, his defensive work and decision making is still not quite where you would hope. Compare to Rampe and his defensive abilities as a medium sized defender.

So far this is an action replay of the previous 3 Sydney derby finals. Nothing pretty about it, but the Giants mids are rinsing the Swans. Their skills stand up so much better under finals pressure and Sydney can’t generate any overlap.

Sydney have some serious work to do in the third otherwise this is gone.
