They won by a single point. It could of very easily been a loss given the ball was in Brisbane's F50 late.

I very much doubt Carlton coaching and playing group would be happy being 7 goals down and having to work thier way back into the game to begin with.

I reckon most teams would be happy fighting back from that margin and winning man. awsome effort.

Based on last night, McKay could be our best player next week. Even in general play he was kicking worm burners. Then one out on the full from 35m out. You hate to see it.

I sincerely hope that McKay overcomes the mental demons of having to play for Carlton.

Thoughts on that last goal?

They would be happy they fought back and won.

But Monday morning in the review Vossy won't be happy letting it get out to 7 goals. No coach in football would be happy in that situation.

But they fought back and won ? That makes no sense.

Is there a mentally weaker side than the post covid era Brisbane Lions?

I swear they've dropped some real shockers over the years.

People complain about vic bias (sometimes fairly), but if Fagan had coached this list to no flags and a pretty poor finals record in a big vic side he’d be getting hung, drawn and quartered.

That his team continues to lose big games from good positions and don’t seem to do much to resolve it while making similar mistakes (shutting up shop way too early in particular) is pretty negligent. If I was a lions fan I’d be incredibly frustrated with this.

Great comeback by Carlton. The fact they were so far down though ...is that a big concern or too early to tell. Brisbane will be top 4-6 so could just that they were playing a good side at their home ground
Simply adjusting to having no Weitering down there. Young and Kemp are athletic but not the smartest players in general.

Not too worried about it if he makes a clean return from his calf and stays healthy.

Fancy a St.Kilda supporter getting all gobby about the virtues of a one-point victory.:think:

Voss will be going "Why did you guys let it get out to 7 goals?"

No he will be going " Well done boys, you were on the ropes and you showed great courage, fought back and won the game "
