Not that I agree with that crybaby. But yes the AFL have wanted you to make finals consistently for a decade now.

Remember 2016 when you had the most prime time games in the comp off the back of nothing in the previous year?
Firstly, wrong year. Secondly, what time slot you play has nothing to do with the outcome of the game. From memory we got smashed just about every game that year.

Steve Hocking has ruined modern football

STAND chip STAND chip STAND chip STAND chip
Chip-mark was around long before the stand rule. The stand rule speeds the game up.

another horrendous <10 goal aggregate half

the game needs to change back to what it used to be

get rid of stop-start STAND and let's see some scoring again!!
How does letting the man on the mark move increase attacking football?

The umpire didn’t say “Don’t pull the ball on the ground, that’s against the rules”

He said “Could you please give me the ball?”

A completely reasonable request. The only reason a player would ignore it is to buy some time.
How hard is it to understand?

If a player has the ball and the whistle goes, he's allowed to put the ball on the ground to move on and set up for the ensuing ball up. That's not time-wasting.
If the umpire is already in position to take the ball, asks for it and you don't give it to him, that's time wasting.
And this is precisely what is wrong with the laws of the game.

Astounding that you guys are ok with an umpire being able to pay a free kick against a player despite them playing to the rules of the game.

This is such a overreaction, will be the Collingwood rule to combat the way they close out games

The ball winner is disproportionately punished, one each way now

That HTB against Newman was shocking.
This interpretation won't last long.
I'm sure a lot of neutrals will be enjoying it when it goes against Carlton, but they'll all be screaming when it happens to them.

I like the faster whistle when it's no prior and obvious that it won't come out.
