well considering the afl literally have changed the entire interpretation of the rules I think there was probably some very stern reviews post some of these games.

Thanks for your thoughts but the clubs spokesperson made it quite clear that they have no accountability on the matter and went as far as to say they'd never had anyone question it, lol.
I took that as they'd never been called out for their incompetence to the kid that gets dealt that hand, Im sure they just hand the kid back with a sorry and never give how that leaves the kid feeling another thought.

Nah, if thats how they knowingly treat kids and think its acceptable simply because people dont call it out then theyre really not worth associating with.

From a pure fan satisfaction point of view, you would think that if theres any time you WOULDN'T want to disappoint a kid, it would be when they've just had to stand there and watch their team get beaten.
Me personally would have a satisfactory backup plan for no other reason than to make a childs day brighter.
Thats when you get around each other.
But thats just me.

The last thing I'd do is have them walked out onto the field and stand there whilst 23 blokes sulk off the ground and say oh well, we told you how it is if we lose, even though they didn't as confirmed by my Wife and Daughter.
I mean honestly, would you wait until 10 minutes before the end of the game and say if we lose youre outta luck, or would that be something you'd disclose to begin with.

Ive always been of the opinion that actions speak louder than words, so they can say all they like about who they profess to be, how they conduct themselves betrays it.

And let me be clear, I dont condone the way I handled it, but my response doesnt come about if they did better to begin with.
I would not hesitate to apologise profusely to the staff in question as they are just delivering a poorly thoughtout process.
But the bloke who rang me, who told me my Daughters feelings were unwarranted and then took offence to my lack of remorse, well, he can get stuffed.
