What did you think was controversial? I just watched his post-game interview with Fox Sports and I didn't hear anything I thought was controversial.

Not the interview, as they were in the huddle he was mouthing off to the camera/operator lol

The journos are circling him like scavengers. I get it’s a performance industry but it seems like some sections of the media are really vying for his blood.

Personally, I don’t think Nicks deserves the bullet after this poor season alone, unless he has completely lost the locker room. Prior to this season, every year was an improvement for the Crows since he started and by rights they should have made the finals last year.
Poor season?
You take out the 11 wins against eagles and Roos and he’s won 22 games of 84.
Even with a career year from Tex and a great run of injuries they still couldn’t make finals.
Even teams like freo and saints play finals when things go their way.
Nicks did his apprenticeship under
btm10 Ken and it really shows

Richmond fans celebrating.

There really isn't anything to celebrate, Richmond were playing witches hats, Adelaide are trash.
If you can't celebrate your second win out of 13, when can you celebrate? Kids have been trying hard. It's good for morale to get one in the bag. But you're right about Adelaide. They're trash

Looked like the cameras were trying to get to Cumberland after his **** up. Balta was basically telling them to GAGF. Bit of leadership there by Noah. The fact that Cumbo also had an extra black armband on probably meant that his mental state wasn't 100% either.

If that's the case, great presence of mind by Balta. Good on him.

That's what I assumed as well

The fact of the matter is that every season prior to 2024 his side improved.

Nicks has a contract for another two seasons so I think he's worth persevering with for at least one more. If the Crows have a similar record this time next year then it's probably time to reconsider but anything before then is a total overreaction.

So did Voss
I’m not sold on Voss either
Blues have talent all over the park a list in it’s prime.
they had a north under Scott prelim run last year and the umps have kept them in the hunt for a finals run this year.
In 2022 over a quarter of his first 18 were in the AA squad, 3 in the starting 18 a Brownlow and a Coleman winner and they didn’t play finals.

baby crying GIF

Surely the tears have almost run out, Ronnie? It's been 2 months now.

This game was just about the perfect example of coaches votes being a dodgy way to pick best players. 3 players got 5 votes, 2 got 4 votes, 2 got 3 votes and 1 got one. Which means that each coach had a different BOG and didn't rate the others BOG in the top 5. One coaches 2nd best also wasn't in the oppos top 5 as well.
