It is a tackle under the AFL rulebook
Yeah it is, but under the new interpretation it’s just stupid.

I reckon in some instances now you’re almost better off just tagging the jumper rather than a hard tackle, if instant free kicks are gonna be paid for those type of tackles.

Lol it is bizarre that people think it wasn’t a free kick . You either don’t understand the rules or letting bias cloud your judgement.

This is htb even before the new interpretation. A player who has prior must dispose immediately.

Coniglio has prior and than does a full 360 before handballing, textbook example of too long
 
The giants forward line is seriously abysmal. Unless they stream the ball through the midfield at break neck speed they don’t look like scoring.
