I generally don't like the injury excuse – Essendon are just the better team at the moment.

That being said, Parish is hardly comparable to Gawn and Petracca, who have 10 All-Australian selections between them.

Honestly reckon Essendon look a bit better with Durham, Merrett and Caldwell are taking the bulk of the mid minutes anyway – Parish is an honest accumulator, but doesn't really hurt the opposition much with the ball.
