Another morning start for Freo in icy cold conditions against the in-form Hawthorn after a long flight. Huge test of top 4 credentials.

About 12 degrees expected and dry when the bounce happens, 13 and probably raining at the MCG would likely feel colder.
So long as the players weren't out for coffee at 7am, they should have avoided the minus 1. As for the flight, from Perth its probably only 10-20 minutes longer than going to Melbourne (unless the AFL forgot to put on the charter, in which case it might be five hours longer). They probably get to the hotel in Lonny quicker than they do in Melbourne.

The missed MCG exposure, Hawthorn being an MCG based team, is arguably a bigger issue than the difference in travel.

They gave us dons at the g to make up for it which should be a bigger crowd against another top 6 team which will be good for us.
It did seam sus we beat dees and hawks at g in 23 and they move both games away the following year
