Gotta commend the Saints for fighting out the win, I know we were without so many of our best players but that was a gutsy win by a young group who were playing like they had a finals campaign on the horizon

Gotta admit, I was sitting there watching it and wondering to myself why the hell St Kilda players even gave a shit.

Especially with the heat that Carlton were bringing, I just assumed they'd throw in the towel. And I wouldn't have blamed them either.

The script was written for a Carlton win but Higgins changed the script with his great late goal.

It cost us pick 5 but a win like that is worth more than a better draft pick and gives us more momentum going into next year.
