Yeah how was all the wank after the game from wines and Hinkley etc crapping on about how they didn’t know the score in the saints v blues game (bullshit btw)and that they wanted to “treat it like a final” and go as hard as possible and that it would hold them in good sted bla blah blah….

Yerp Kenny and the port power puffs sure showed how it’s done with tonight’s performance!
To be honest it just shows how pathetic we are, losing to this lot.

Not sure if it’s counted but I am pretty sure Geelong beat North by 100+ in 07? Essendon beat North by 100+ in 2000.

I think on both occasions north were 4th but got the home game.
I think Richmond running away in the last quarter of 2017 is the heaviest victory to date by a 3rd or 4th in W1 this century. This being a definite home advantage to the higher placed team makes it worse.

Not going to lie, I'm clearly carrying some week 1/QF trauma from the 2012-21 period.

Could get used to the feeling of actually winning first up in September, especially wins like this, given the only two we've had since 2011 were heartstoppers against the Hawks (2016) and Pies (2022).

Haven't checked the numbers yet, but my tip for the "stats don't tell the story" player tonight would be Brad Close. Should have kicked a couple once it was done and dusted but thought he was outstanding when the game was there to be won in the first half.
