I actually felt a bit sorry listening to Giniver after the game as he realises that this franchise called port is nothing like the old Port Magpies he played for and won flags with. This iteration of Port have got very few players of Ginivers desire to win at all costs

Giniver played at a club who had an insanely generous recruiting zone compared to the rest of the competition.

Maybe because he seemed sad but his comments around it being about us not him, especially noting if they won it wouldn’t be about him

Strangely he took the same approach after the 1st final and to me it came across as personal, defensive and not good

In recent years, one final has been a blowout and the other has been very close.

A lot of talk that Ken was going to be sacked if they lost the Semi, but is now safe for next year because they won, and made the Prelim.

But they get smoked in the Prelim. And they've lost 4 under him. If they won or lost that Semi, they are ultimately no closer to their goal.

Illogical decision making if that's the case.

Didn’t Kochy say that Ken will be there next year, earlier this week?

He was always safe.

There is no way the AFL would allow Port to pay out Ken for 2025. They finished 2nd on the ladder.

There is also no way Koch would do that either.

He is an economic conservative. He would never pay out the contract of a coach finishing second.

If anything, Koch would tick off the season as a success.


The notion of Ken getting sacked was Tealster wishful thinking and unaccountable footy media feeding into that as clickbait.
