As a club we can't afford to allow Blair to retain his spot in this kind of form regardless of how hard he tries. Ditto Maxwell who was poor again tonight imo.

Pretty negative post after a win but it frustrates me when we have 20 blokes contributing to a win with two senior players being gifted games whilst playing at a lower level than the rest of the team. At strong clubs good form should be rewarded by promotion. This has to work the other way round as well imo:(

I'd also like to see Grundy v GWS although I've only seen his awesome highlights from last weeks game.

Does Grundy have the legs to run out a whole game of senior footy? We can't exactly sub him out of the game if he's our #1 ruck, and I can't see Witts shouldering the bulk of it. I'd love to see it happen if he's capable, but I'm just skeptical that he's up to it at this stage.

Also, why does everyone keep wanting to drop Blair? Did you see him tonight? He was one of the only mids who was running and spreading early and got his hands plenty dirty. I hope people aren't judging him as a small forward, because that he ain't anymore.

Out: Elliott (needs a confidence boosting game in the VFL, needs to touch the ball), Young (injured)
In: Martin, Harry

Keeffe and Goldy still need one more run in the VFL, just a pity that one run can't be this weekend.

That is something I am not sure about and I guess with him not doing that in the VFL Means he won't at AFL Level

in: Harry
Out: Young

That's the only necessary change.
Grundy will get a gig against GWS.

Hudson was great tonight so I can't see the logic in dropping him when he rucked 80% of the game. Honestly, common sense lacks in these threads sometimes.
Might as well say "IN: Ceglar".

If Grundy is deemed fit enough/ready then he should at least play these next two games for a taste. However given how badly we played against the crows they may not risk it. We need to win every game we can from here on out to give finals a real shake and we aren't in e greatest form so playing lots of kids might be out.

Blair looked bad tonight. Hacking it forward without looking when you have time is under 16s stuff. He caused a few turnovers and got beaten very easily one on one. Maybe a run in the twos while guys like Martin and didak are still waiting to come back.

I'll be highly surprised if Blair or Maxi are dropped.
Maxi because he's captain.
Blair because, along with Ball, he is one of our only players who contests the ball at ground level.

I wouldn't be completely against bringing Keeffe in though and playing Reid permanent forward.

Maxwell won't be dropped but if he is the true leader he is famed to be he will do the team thing and stand aside and let the team carry on without him. He should take heed of the great man Simon Prestigiacomo in 2010 gf, be selfless and do what's right for the team. We are in a dire situation, we are scraping by. b grade teams but. Against quality top4 a liability like Maxwell will be our end.

Bucks praised Blair tonight

Blair is very regularly the bloke who tackles blokes fiercely even though he knows he won't get a holding the ball free or anything. He just locks the ball up. He spends half the game on his knees contesting the ball. If he is to be replaced it needs to be by a similar player and I don't know many like him.

Reality is Elliot and all the young fellas will all need a rest in the VFL before the season is out.
They're young and have been playing out of their skins. Though the Seed should only go back to teach the younger players how to be godlike. They deserve as much.

The only problem with Blair's game tonight was the more than usual fumbles.

Not sure where the problem lies, whether it's a one-off thing or maybe needs a confidence boost back in the two's.

Before I make any decision on changes I'll wait and see how the Suns go against Richmond.
They may not be the push-overs we hope.

I don't think they're push overs enough to go into the game with only Witts and Grundy.

Maybe against GWS though.
