If Blair gets dropped I won't bother going to the game, he has been sensational the last two games and is in best 18 players at Collingwood.

I can't see any changes being made unless they are forced changes and at this stage it seems everyone should be fit so I am expecting no changes for the second week running. I think this is our best 22 we can field now bar Daisy Thomas maybe but the current 22 of the last few weeks have done what we haven't been able to do all season so they all deserve their spot.

I think it is too late for Dale Thomas personally, he will play in the VFL next week and at best he will be putting his hand up for selection the following week and I don't think we should be taking a man with two games under his belt in 3 months going in to the finals unless we are forced to.

Thomas proved early in the year he only needs his run, his form comes immediately. I'd say 1 game VFL, 1 game sub, 1 game as AFL, then all good for finals.

Is there a full moon tonight? Did you watch the game? Thomas was a sub last week. Why would a young man in his prime need a rest? Why should Jolly replace the first ruckman we have had who can run and jump? I just don't get some people.

Because they have played a grand total of 18 games and it is called preservation and proper management you numb nuts. Not only did they come up against the toughest team in the afl but it is on the back of our most physical game the week before and a trip to Sydney.

Didak has publicly stated that he will not play AFL and is only interested in a sick friend in S.A. He will play VFL only, and judging by his absence from our team this weekend, may not even play VFL.

When I read some very favourable reviews a few minutes ago of the VFL games of Seedsman and Krakouer today, I began to wish I could retract my promise.

Reasons?

Blair is too messy. Maybe he's having too many nodoz before the game or something, but he's erratic and got no composure. That kind of shit costs you tight matches. I'd rather have Martin.
Krak is just too good to be left out of the side. He had one bad game, that's all and our coach had a bad day that day too, cost us an important match, maybe even a top 4 spot.
Maxwell just hasn't had any impact all year, just been a b-grade player, not a single best or obvious win over an opponent. Just can't carry players like that in to the finals, captain or not. Seedsman will settle if we get him back in the side, he's shown what an impact he can have, and even his quiet games have been twice as good as a whats considered a good maxwell game.

Only change i would contemplate would be Jolly in for Grundy.

The big question with this games lies with their forward line on our backline, with no Reid we look a bit shaky against the gun full forwards. I have had faith in nate brown, but he performance against Tippett has left me questioning whether or not he can take on those big stars.

I haven't scrolled though this thread but has anyone thought of playing Goldsack on Franklin? Buddy cant take a contested mark to save his life, and goldsack is athletic enough to go with him on a lead and at ground level... just a thought.

i am pretty confident that marley will contain cyril, and if heath is switched on he will dispatch of Bruest. I am concerned about Gunston, especially because Maxwell will be told to help Goldsack/Brown/Keefe by being third man up, which could leave Gunston all alone.

I am sick to death at seeing him going third man up against Cloke and win constant uncontested possessions which leads to rebound 50 out of our forward line.

With no Schoenmakers, Lake will have to play on Cloke. If we play Reid forward - which we should - Gibson will have to take him, which will make him much more accountable.

I have a pretty good feeling about this game. If we can contain their forward line, we are a massive chance. Their three highest possession winners from round 3 against us are all under clouds - Hodge, Birchall and Shiels.
