Hey, Dave, haven't you made a big error here? Isn't that Hudson's name you have included in your 'ins'. Have you got soft on him while you've been on vacation?:p

Well his game today in the VFL is the Best I seen him play at Collingwood and can play Forward

Its amazing the different way people see the game. Some of the suggested changes I am not sure whether people are just wanting a rise out of people or if serious - but that may say more about me not knowing anything.

My feeling is that the team we play next has as much to do with how they have just played in terms of selection

Regards how they have played -
Maxwell has played 7 good quarters out of the last 8 against quality opposition and provided good rebound
Caff - only a week ago held one of the best players in the comp to around 15 possessions
Goldsack - is one of the most important players structurally in our side. Provides pace we lack, shut down when needed, can play back to allow Reid forward and can play forward.
Dwyer - Skillful and hits targets
J Thomas - please. Kid is a gun. Quick and tough. Part of our future.

My changes:

Out - Sinclair (inj) Lynch
In - two players that suit the game plan and our structure against West Coast. Seedsman probably one of those.
Finally sanity prevails...great post and not "the sky is falling in"...!

Two ins, Seeds and Jolly...give Grundy a crack at CHF, he's confidence is sky high.

In: Seedsman, Martin, Jolly (if he pulled up OK)

Out: Sinclair (inj), Lynch, Dwyer/Macaffer

I would like to see Seedsman back, he lifts our skill level, which on Friday's evidence is below par.

Martin deserves another crack, he finds the ball, his tackling is at a new level in the VFL & he is a goal kicker - reward the consistency.

Jolly if fit will offer so much more than Lynch. We need to look after Grundy and playing him 1st ruck week in week out will end in tears. A chop out from Jolly should ensure he lasts into finals. I think Grundy playing forward will be dynamic, if for nothing other than his forward 50 ruck work - its almost worth goals, he hits it to space and is a dream come true for Pendles & Swan.

There is an argument to drop Macaffer this week as I do not see a great match up for him with WC.

There is also an argument that Didak should get a game based on VFL form. He is definitely capable of making more of the plethora of opportunities that are going begging every week in our forward 50.

This is only based on the first half, haven't seen second half yet:
in: Seedsman / Martin (for Sinclair), Krakouer (structural change, think we won't need a stopper like Macaffer), Jolly / Witts (if Lynch rubbed out)
Out: Macaffer, Sinclair (assuming injured), Lynch (if suspended)

Would like to find a spot for Russell down back, but we have benefitted from a stable lineup lately.

Maybe you guys should have a drink or two... then you'd realize there was 2 players dropped who didn't play and 2 players in that did.

(His team was spot on though - But Didak will start.)

Can we get one thing straight, DIDAK isn't playing seniors again this year, he admitted that himself.

Ok, onto possible changes;

Ins; (depending on VFL form);

Thomas (he's Daisy, one VFL game will be enough)
Hudson/Jolly (if Jolly isn't fit bring Huddo in, need 2 rucks vs Cox and co)
Seedsman (it's time)

Outs;

Lynch (please)
Dwyer/Sinclair (depends on Sinclair's possible injury)
Caff (sorry, no need to tag against the Eagles or Norf)

Blair can consider himself lucky IMO.

No need to go too nutty though, we are who we are, the 6th or 7th best side in it, and that's where we will finish after the home and away rounds even if we only win one more game.

Hey Matty, what did you make of Dids' performance on the weekend and why do you think there is no chance of him being selected?
