Am I right in assuming that if Sydney beat the Hawks, we only have to beat Essendon in round 23 to be guaranteed top 4?
That would be correct. Because if the hawks lose to both sydney and WCE they will finish 5th.
If WCE beat us and lose to Hawks they finish 5th. As long as we beat Essendon.

Best case for us if we win this week....we are top 4 no matter what happens.

Good pick up.

Best case for us I believe is the following;

Round 22
Sydney beat Hawks
Adelaide win (Melb)
Pies beat WCE

Ladder:
Sydney 68
Adelaide 64
Coll'wood 64
Hawks 60

Round 23
Sydney win/lose
Adelaide win (GC)
Pies beat bumbers
Hawks beat WCE

Ladder:
Sydney 72/68
Adeliade 68 (percentage much less than Syd)
Pies 68
Hawks 64

Friday Night - Sydney vs Hawthorn (ANZ)
Saturday Night - Adelaide vs Coll'wood (AAMI)

I know this is unlikely but wouldn't a Melbourne win this round give us the chance of finishing second?

Agree.
Changes for next week (no injuries this week)

In: Jolly, Maxy & Krak
Out: Wood, Sinclair, ???

I think our team balance is out and would drop N Brown for Maxy next week. Taz back to FB now that the Sack is back forward. I'd like to see Krak in, so for me it comes down to Sinclair and Seedsman. Sinclairs pace up forward could be critical so I'd go with him. (Seeds will be best 22 next year, has shown a lot of promise)
So for me it would be:
In: Jolly, Maxy, Krak
Out Wood, Brown, Seeds

I know we're a week early with the above but we are getting on a plane this week and usually the 4 points sit in row 1A on the way back. ;)

Bryce Gibbs had a twitter pic once and the Carlton Board was open in his browser, so some players definitively read the site
Must be why he's playing so shit this year.

Those Carlton nuffies are vultures when it comes to confidence.

You'd think the only reason Nate Brown is playing is because Eagles play very tall in the forward line, hopefully coaching panel see common sense next week and goes for Taz and Reid in the backline only.

What's with all the Nate Brown hate on here?
Taz is finished, play him forward or not at all. Nate is the future and a quality defender.
