It's just not the best midfield in the comp, it's also the best ruck combo in the league. Can you imagine Wood against Cox and Nic Nat?
Umm, that was a comment from an Eagles fan, he was saying our midfield is the best, which it is.

Yes, the Eagles have the best ruck combo (although I'd argue Sydney's is more in from at the moment) but we have the better midfield, both in talent and in depth, and the Eagles midfield has been in poor form, especially recently.

If we win, it will start, and end with our midfield dominance.

Yes that's what I meant....oops :oops:

West Coast;

In: Butler, Rosa, Kennedy
Out: Dalziell, Hams, Brennan

Should be a cracker of a match, both teams as close to full strength as they have been in ages.

Jolly out makes little difference IMO, we would have beaten in the ruck anyway, Wood only has to be competitive for us to win the midfield battle and the game.

Jolly is a big out, but the thing with Wood is he is a decent tap ruckman, so we shouldnt get smashed too much in that area but the problem is he doesnt have the endurance to keep up with Cox and Nik Nat.

Getting a good start on them is very important.

Hard to see Krakouer playing this season now.
Geelong brought in Varcoe after only 1 VFL game all season, yet we continue to play Krakouer in the 2nds.
Our match selection at times is baffling.
He may have played if the game was in Melbourne....the travel factor may be the reason he isn't in the 25.

I disagree. We made loads of changes this week and Krak would probably have started sub if he went to Perth. He gets a whole game in the 2s instead and can still come in next week.

Those whinging about Krakouer not playing, ask yourself the obvious question;

Is it better for Krak's match fitness to play 20 minutes as a sub or 100 minutes (roughly 80% game time) in the VFL?

Smart move.:thumbsu:

He will play next week against Essendon while a few players have a rest, and then will be the sub in the first week of the finals if he plays well against Essendon, and that will be perfect preparation, not two 3 hour flights and 20 minutes of football. (And don't give me the "but subs do intense training after the game" crap).
