But some context, we've kept them to their lowest score under Clarkson as coach. Good percentage boost from it too.
Can't be all negative in our focus.

True, and l also now think we really took our foot of the pedal. We need to conserve as much energy as possible, with what is coming up.

Agree with Riewoldt. If it was a broken arm I doubt he would be there smiling with the boys. And surely they wouldn’t let him go walking around like that either.

Looked more like a dislocation than a break. Like the elbow joint popped out for a sec.

Quaynor was awesome. Clean, fast, strong and penetrating. Atu was a pleasant surprise, didn't look out of place.
I've been a Cal Brown supporter, but he has to get dropped. If you can't kick 35m, you at least have to be clean with the ball.

We're a terrible side to watch.

You guys disappointed with that? Obviously take the points but probably not your best performance post qtr time. I was confident going in, should have known the character of your group would bounce back. Great job fellas. Still think you guys will go very deep.

Feel for Kelly. Loved that first snag.

Played the same as we did against GWS here a couple of weeks ago, difference was GWS did enough to beat us. But it will give some people an excuse to say BUckley is a great coach again...

No, we did a lot better tonight in defence. Forward line still needs a lot of work, but there was much better team dynamics tonight.

I reckon we played with more pace out of our backline but otherwise it was the same, the forward line didn’t really click and the midfield kept over possessing it.

Lol you havent watched us much over last 3 years if you think thats anything different then our usual pattern of play.

First quarter blitz followed by 3 quarters of nothing is pretty atypical of how we play weekly. Even 2018 GF was the same.

Watched probably 90% of Pies games last 3 years. Usually you're a lot better, scoring more than 7.11 or whatever it was

Come on now...

We have played off 1 quarter of footy since rnd 1 2018.

Ypu think its some ingenious ploy like AFLs rope a dope?

Its genuinely cost us games including the big one!

We typically play about 1 and a half quarters of quality footy and go slow or forced into slow play and cant score.

Usually in 18 and 19 we would blitz q1 fall asleep q2 and let opponent in then play half a quarter in q3 then just hold on with defence.

Go read any of our game day threads from last 2 seasons.

Agree. Played with more pace but the overuse of the handball was a detriment. Its as if the players were doing circle work at training with the quick handballing drills to the nearest person.

Definitely frustrating to watch. Also hated it when they’d miss the longer slicing hand pass that would actually open it up and opt for the dinky handpass.

We definitely need allot more ball movement IQ.

It was the same old story. Defence was good. After quarter time, midfield was just not clean, fumbling, missing targets by hand and foot and forward line relatively ineffective. Considering we scored 3 goals in 3 quarters, I think that's a fair assessment. Having said that, we still dominated most of the game somehow.
