Just came home after watching the last quarter at a dinner.

Very cringey Collingwood, but at least we are able to learn from this while also getting the 4 points.

Missed most of the first half myself.
Lot of players looked weary and below their best.
Some of the leaders really stood up late (Sidey, Treloar, Howe); some younger boys were really productive (Phillips, De Goey); and Cox's marking late was crucial.
Take the 4 points and move on.
Rest up and get stuck into 'Gee-long'

Usual pessimists saying all week "danger game", "wouldn't surprise me if we drop this one", and even predicting a loss, and when it nearly happens but we pull together to win it (with our captain and BOG at the time out of the game) they're disappointed, disgusted, outraged, written us off. Could've won by 10 goals and they'd be all "yeah but it was only Brisbane". I seriously think some people would prefer us to lose and be shit as it fits their agenda, rather than have their team win.

Yes becuase we've never dropped games to bottom sides before

How many times did he get beaten today running in ridiculous spots as well.

Good win in the end considering the circumstances of the type of game. Brisbane obviously wanted a fast paced game to tire us out. They were hoping the 3 games in 12 days would be a factor, and it nearly worked for them. Losing Pendles in the last quarter didnt help either, but thought Treloar, Sidey, De Goey, Phillips, Mayne, Varcoe, Cox all stoodup when it counted. De Goey was brilliant though this evening.
