Theyre both starting to lose a bit of depth. Port never really had any, although finally putting Rozee onball helps

Gray done, Boaks what 35?, Amon gone. Theyve had a heavy reliance on Wines and Boak for the past 2 years. Then its Drew, Rozee and Butters. Still not sure Butters body can hold up as a pure onballer so is better off as a high half fwd

Brisbane losing Lyons, Zorko, Robbo around that midfield. Finallly theyve put Berry back onball.

Neale, Mcluggage, Berry is really it. Rayner not ready it seems. Zac Bailey the most impactful half fwd in the game. Mcluggage can always go back to a wing aswell

We have better depth than port, just not the big guy like Wines and Rozee is probably a class above any of our mids. If Perkins can really come on as a big onballer and Stringer can play 18-20 games than that solves alot of the big guys issues around the stoppages.
This is why I don't understand their willingness to offload Duursma. The lame arrow crap aside, I thought he was a good hard runner and a good finisher. Rozee on ball surely makes Duursma more necessary on the outside.

Will be harder for them to get a trade for Henry done now though and there’s no guarantee he plays like he wants to. We can offer more money and opportunity and should be in his ear.
Their first this year would be fair compensation for Henry
F1 and something else (maybe 46/51) for Bruhn.

I’d want to get Duursma and then draft his younger brother next year.
Duursma's value is an interesting one. First round pick, 4 years in, has talent in spades but can't nail down a spot on the wing ahead of guys like Amon, Bergman and co.

He's definitely not worth pick 22 but he's definitely worth more than 40.

Jarryd Lyons is one we should be into. Has a contract until 2024 and has struggled this year, but we should absorb his contract for the next 2 years to get him cheaply.

I know people will say he is a proven AFL player etc. etc. etc. but wasn't the BIG knock on him his ability to (mostly) run one way?

He was Brisbane's best defensive runner, but guys like Berry have overtaken him. It was a weakness when GC cut him, but he improved a lot when he changed clubs there.

Duursma can play anywhere and I thought he did his best work in the midfield at junior level. I’d spend pick 22 on him personally but if we can’t get him cheaper then cool

I watched him pretty closely since the round 15 Melbourne game. His performance dropped off big time. If he's been carrying something then maybe it'd be worth it, but if this is where he is at, I'd stay away.

He moves like his boots have lead in them lately, wouldn't be surprised if it comes out he has been dealing with OP.

You’d almost still take Lyons even knowing he’s probably only good until the bye next year. He may be slow but he’s a willing workhorse and a team player.

Does a second rounder plus paying all of Lyon’s’ salary get us Lyons and Robertson? Robertson is probably worth a late first/early second on his own but they also get the cap relief to go after Franklin or Dunkley or whoever else.

I think id prefer to couple up our 22 with F1 if we can get into the 6-10 group of this draft

Ashcroft
Cadman
Sheezel
Wardlaw
Tsatas

Humphries
E.Hewett
J.Clark
C.Mackenzie
Phillipou (Still a bit unsure on him, just havnt seen enough, if hes a big body inside mid then will make people happy on here)

Then that probably allows us to allow for Parish to go next year with 2 more younger mids

Because were in serious Key FWD concerns if we dont take one with 2 top 10 picks this year or have

The dream above would be Cadman got through to 5 but i dont see it happening
