Realistically Green or Taranto are going to be two first rounders I would have thought?

I am reluctant to hand that over for any midfielder not named Petracca or Dustin Martin or a gun key forward.

I'd rather spend two firsts and cash on Green because Green has a higher ceiling than Hopper. We're talking best player in the comp potential. Imagine a midfield of Green, Perkins, Caldwell and Hobbs? That'd be the best 22 and under midfield in the competition alongside Gold Coast. If we're targeting a FA, then Brayshaw is fine.

We've seen how crucial it is to have a Dusty, a Bont, a Fyfe or a Petracca in the side. A player that can impact the game to that level. Green can be that player.

Draft picks are usually overrated because A-grade mids aren't really found outside of the top 4. Dusty, Petracca, Bont, Walsh, JHF, Daicos, McCluggage, Green, Taranto, Rowell, Anderson etc. You don't usually find these players around picks 8-12 which is where I expect Essendon to finish over the next couple of years. If we want one, then we'd have to pay up. Green is worth it.

Risky prospect. However a move like this is one that could move us into premiership contention. Would arguably give us the most dynamic forward line and centre clearance combinations in the comp.

Watched both games and byran, ham, zerk thatcher, francis, smith are not afl standard. Many couldn't impact a vfl game at all. Yet get 6+ years on a senior afl list. Wake up.

So you think that is poor coaching by rutten not making the change or he just knows zerk will make no difference? Its one or the other. Reid looked much better in the VFL thank zerk and stewart. Hopefully losing means we play, reid, wanganeen next week. No more stewart, zerk or smith, we know what they give and it doesnt win you games.

Yeah and he kept the other bloke to one mark inside 50 and 0 goals. Had plenty of intercepts and saved half a dozen goals through 1%ers.

You need to stop posting if you think Zerk deserves to be dropped.
