Yeah and he kept the other bloke to one mark inside 50 and 0 goals. Had plenty of intercepts and saved half a dozen goals through 1%ers.

You need to stop posting if you think Zerk deserves to be dropped.

So bad coaching by not swapping him onto taberner? Got ya. 1 in 20 games have been good and yes a good game today but the coach still doesn't trust him enough to move him onto taberner. After all this time still not rated to make the change, shows me the coach knows the same and that time has told us he is not up to it.

There's been more than 1 good game. Just stop. It's embarrassing

Tom Green chat should be barred. He would be as close to untouchable as they come in the entire league.

Based off our season at the moment, can you see anyone that is best 22 material wanting to come to our team that is just going to take us for a ride?

In terms of what we need, I think we need a best 22 KPD that is young enough (e.g Dougal Howard type) to support Reid while he develops and BZT. Yes Reid would be great but still looks timid and injury prone.

Rewind to two years ago when I suggested, to howls of derision, that we should trade Hurley and go after Dougal Howard himself. Here we are.
We have so many holes in the list it's difficult to know where to start, but I think you're possibly right because Stewart isn't up to matching it with the likes of Hawkins or Naughton; even Taberner would have given him a bath.

Not sure if we're still chasing Hill but we need a small forward as well as a big-bodied midfielder. I'd like Tom Green but he'd cost an arm and a leg with a year to go on his contract. Brayshaw was suggested, but I don't see why he leaves Melbourne for a basketcase.

Ive been on record saying that a big turning point in Melbourne from yesteryear was the acquisitions of guys like Jordan Lewis and Daniel Cross. Great club man who sets examples not just the talented kids but holds the older heads accountable as well as leading the kids.

Agreed. It's probably no coincidence that the rise of Harris Andrews coincided with Luke Hodge getting what was essentially an on-field coaching role.

OK, so who are those guys this year that you think we should bring in?

Perhaps the performance of our midfield without stringer will finally make it clear to the club we need a a big bodied mid. Who of our midget mids can we trade out to get a decent big mid in? Shiel? Would anyone take him. McGrath? Parish? Gws have enough big mids don’t they? McGrath plus a first rounder for Taranto? That would be slightly galling considering we could have had Taranto instead of McGrath (good decision that one) but it’s a sunk cost. Gws originally wanted McGrath. They have their big bodied mid for the future in green.

We could have gotten a late blooming Luke Dunstan for chips while Hobbs develops 🙄

Shaun Burgoyne could have been had for peanuts imho. Would be a handy start. Neville Jetta is another we should / could have asked the question about if his body was to hold up. Nathan Jones. Bachar Houli. Maybe not correct positionally but a start none the less.
