I feel Gabby O’Sullivan has improved her skills quite a lot. With her guts and determination this makes her a very good player.

Im not sure we will see that form again,. She has slowed down a lot.Need Ebony Antonio to get back to her early career form . When she dies we will be super strong in attack
She's on her last legs, she won't be reaching those heights againNeed Ebony Antonio to get back to her early careeer fotm . When she dies we will be super strong in attack

Agree, her days as midfielder is gone. As a key forward she has at least 2 years. She's on her last legs, she won't be reaching those heights again
The cross codes tend to have more growth in them.I feel Gabby O’Sullivan has improved her skills quite a lot. With her guts and determination this makes her a very good player.
100%.The smaller balls they use in the AFLW are so shit to kick. Something needs to be done there.
I love Kikoak. Just love her.
Mim was always going to come good.
My son's girlfriend, who is at WAIS as a hockey player, tells me that a number of the girls at WAIS toiling away at a number of sports are turning their head in footy's direction now there is money being paid. We could get a genuine influx of stupidly fit and physically gifted women into footy, lifting the base along with the new generation of footy as first-sport players coming through the ranks.
You can really the difference.according to Lisa Webbs interview, Mim has been putting in extra training with her brother,
definitely reaping the rewards, well done Mim
Seems like a lot of players have taken the next step.watching the first quarter now. ill admit i didn't get to watch last season at all. but i can see clear improvement. the girls are very very hard at it. holds us in good stead come finals.
Yeah, it's a radically different game to the mens given depth of kicking, speed etc. I think experienced players coaching AFLW (informed by their experience) is likely to yield more success than non-players coaching AFL.i think its a really balanced midfield. power and goal scoring.
I have 2 things as well which i find quite interesting. its clear to me that the aflw game is more contest heavy with more bombs to packs. therefore, perhaps a dominant ruck is more important than in the mens game. thus mim strom is potentially more important than sean darcy to her team.
secondly, daisy pearce and lisa webb are both former players. I think an understanding of what does and doesn't work in aflw is clearly important and probably helping improve aflw quality.
If this is true, it is only relatively so. Plenty of teams trying to run an outside, kick-mark / uncontested possession game (including Geelong). It's just that once Freo get going (usually not until the 2nd or 3rd quarter), they take that uncontested game away from the oppo.its clear to me that the aflw game is more contest heavy with more bombs to packs. therefore, perhaps a dominant ruck is more important than in the mens game.
This is key, I think. Tactically, it changes everything when it takes an extra two kicks to move from one end of the ground to the other.it's a radically different game to the mens given depth of kicking, speed etc
No hadn’t realised that. I’m o/s and just following off the AFLW app and on this thread. Thanks for the info, makes more sense. But still, scoreless quarters aren’t ideal. Not sure about last night but do you realise we kicked into the breeze every first quarter?
Not sure about Noah, but I've seen Zac training Mim.Isnt Noah Strom, the AFLW ruck coach? Maybe where part of the improvement has come from
