A guy with that haircut querying about whether something else is the ‘right fit’.

He actually goes on national television having looked in the mirror and woth access to a-grade hair and make-up people and said to himself ‘yep, i’m running with this’…

He thought it looked good on Ellen DeGeneres

Just once I would like one of these sagas to end our way.

That’s what I hope at every game we play these days

I’m intrigued by this story. Can I ask what the Standard is?

Local newspaper. Warrnambool Standard.

In short, a career thug was shot twice in the back of the head with a shotgun, then what remained of him was run over. His sidekick was run over 1st then shot twice as they were walking along a country road to go to the shops.

The thug was due in court in a few days for repeated harassment of a mate of the shooter. There was longtime bad blood.

Word Salad. Is he coming or not ? Just tell me.
Put your house on it…. Just let me know who gets it after that
He'll yeah borther

Borther = bort her
Bort was another name for Bart simpson
Adam and Bart shared the same family name
Adam Simpson once talked to Clarko…
Ruor confirmed

Cmon, really? He said it was from his daughter in a non-footy capacity. But maybe its just his double spoof. I dunno but I'm having trouble staying calm. If it doesn't happy me and this KickitAnwhere punk are gonna have to go a few rounds of the old "Mao!"

For those who are worried about the longer no announcement the less likely the chance, I'd just like to put it in perspective.

For contracts in which both sides have a high degree of bargaining power, these can take *in ages.

It's not unusual for contracts that have teams of people working on them, that NEED to be delivered in say 10 days, with hundreds of hours of manpower put into getting the document satisfactory and ready for sign off by both parties, people burning the midnight oil every night, and even then they often come in at the final hour.

IF Clarko has in principle agreed to the job, then I imagine it comes with a s**t tonne of work.

This isn't something where you'd have a template floating around. There would be informal discussions about expectations. These would be attempted to be captured by the party drafting them. Inevitably they're not going to be entirely satisfactory, so there's the writing and rewriting of various clauses. Rinse and repeat. Then there's things that people only think about when they read the contract. One side gets advice that alerts them to an issue, they contact the other side's representative, they discuss and debate and write and rewrite again.

There is plenty of time for this and it's highly likely the people involved in the drafting and negotiating have more pressing matters in the pipeline (court deadlines, deals in the high millions that need to go through by X date, etc.). In comparison we have no hard deadline in this situation, at this stage anyway. It might be a matter of providing a party with a draft and then they can't even get advice on it for a few days. Then they book in, get advice, mull it over, and then have to redraft and send it back to the other party who does the same thing. Then you need to factor in the possibility that every iteration and version needs to go past a board or panel for ratification (not sure how North operates here), who aren't 100% time devoted to the club and who have other pressing matters outside of North.

There is the real potential that if Clarko agreed to begin negotiating terms that there'd be a month or more of negotiations and drafting before sign off.

This is all on top of the actual work coming to an in principle agreement in the first place.

David Noble left less than a month ago I think? The timeline has a bit to play out before we get worried. Sometimes these things play out super quick, other times they take longer and it's no cause for concern. If we're heading into trade period without a coach then yeah maybe it's time to worry then.

If it were a coach who had little bargaining power you'd expect things to move a bit more quickly, but this ain't no ordinary coach.

In short: relax, my dudes and dudettes. I reckon it'll be very soon but won't be concerned for quite some time.
A napkin is much easier and faster too
