I'm getting ready for our thorough process...

Isn't 'thorough process' just a new football wank term though?

If there's a candidate above all others, you'll move a bit quicker to get them done. I also highly doubt that it's going to be a Malcolm Blight napkin job.

It's probably league wide realisation that clubs shouldn't be getting caught up in performance of caretakers, so as long as we don't do a repeat of Rhyce Shaw (in no way reference to Patch whom I hope stays around in any capacity) I'm ok with us moving quickly with Clarkson.

Would like to think we've had at least initial discussions around lists with both Lyon and Clarkson, hence why they've both been pretty tight lipped.

I'm all for the club being transparent especially considering what the club has gone through the last few years on field, and off field with all the Tassie stuff......but I think people need to ease up a tad.

Not a reference to you, just the general feel of the board which has had Josh Kelly-esque enthusiasm with the review and coaching appointment.

Can someone ease my troubled mind and assure me that we aren’t all pinning our hopes on something that only Tom Browne seems to be reporting?

Tom is an absolute plank. But he’s oddly been bang on with almost everything out of the club so far this year. In saying that, I’m not getting sucked into it yet. I’ll wait until he’s in a club polo at arden st personally lol.

Well yes Michael, Chomp, Chim, Chop, El Chomo can take CHB for the next two years.

While Franklins who will only be 36 before the 2023 season starts can hang with his youthful new mate Goldstein who just turned 34.

They could go clubbin' together I can see Todd doing that.

We won't be getting Franklin, cause we don't need him..

Xerri is only .6 of a goal per game behind Logan McDonalds, who apparently is an out and out star.

I said he HELPED put a list together. I didn't say he built it himself from scratch. But he certainly contributed to it and does deserve some credit.

We are not here to judge the West Coast list. We are here to review his body of work at North. And unfortunately there are plenty of questions. From the outside looking in, it does seem that while he’s certainly a smart bloke, he may be slightly out of his depth. Perhaps his role will be downgraded a bit.

Say we went to the AFL and said we don't want any priority draft picks and we will straight up vote YES on Tassie, that makes life easier for the AFL on multiple fronts, especially avoiding a shit fight over priority picks.

But you temporarily expand and pay our soft cap to get us Clarko, like you did (ish) with the Dees and Roosy. Say for three years.

Clarko as coach and some luck with injury is a far better equalisation measure in that it stops us being a "bye" Round 1 2023 than pick 2 or 19 is.

If we get Clarko as coach, membership goes through the roof and its viable start at how we face life without the Tassie dollars we've just agreed to forfeit.

Also, Clarko must have a ****ing diamond cutter at the idea of what he could do with JHF alone.

Vote NO but tell them we will vote yes, get the PP's that we deserve and tell them to get ****ed on the way out the door.

I think my plan will be more popular than yours, we will see.

You want us to go to Tassie?..

Might be a REAL decision between soft cap relief for clarko or pp at pick 2.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, will ashcroft. Lives in Vic. Father son for Brisbane, or stay in Vic and play under clarko?

This clarko soft cap thing is really priceless in what it can bring to the club. However it's also not tangible, and might bring nothing and everyone might hate him.

Picks are intangible to, don't always draft stars. I'm firmly in the clarkson in exchange for all other compensation camp if that's what it takes

Sounds to me like the AFL would want Clarkson coaching us and putting two and two together with the absolute media pile on of recent months even after our win against the Tiges, our compensation will come in the form of assistance for Clarko's ridiculous salary of $ 1.6M. Which if Clarkson doesn't get success we will ultimately get the blame for. While I certainly rating Clarkson as a coach, Hutchy recently mentioned that taking Clarkson as coach will come with some 'strings'. I just hope these strings are not a deal to push us to Tasmania. Personally I would be seeking the Collingwood model as mentioned by Lloyd. A less experienced coach with very experienced assistant coaches. Souva spelt out our issue perfectly saying it is about ' the coaching team working well together' and that has been our biggest problem all along. Bringing in a dictator would seem useless if we don't have the cash to put gun assistants around him.

It's worth every cent. No manager worth their salt would advise a player away from learning under Clarkson. And he'll be the key in getting players over the line. He's the game changer for us.
100%. We should also give Clarkson a number so I can put it the back of my guernsey.

If they make numbers small enough for sure you could fit 1,600,000 on the back of your guernsey.
