Apart from the obvious that has already been mentioned, I loved that Fyfe realised he can still kick a footy, JOM showed surprising pace on occasion and Chapman continues to build.
Great team win.

This game played out like one of poshman's posts, all the optimisms actually happened for real. wow.

almost feels like a shame now we have the bye and our momentum resets.

We have to treat it like winning a pre-lim and getting the reward of a week off to sharpen the swords and show everyone we still have growth (and lots of it).

We have blown the benefits of the bye the last two years and I am sure the club won’t let that happen a 3rd time.

I think we broke his head, one of Amiss's mark I remember noticing May didn't even really contest it and looked miserable.

Edit: Just found out there's a football team in the region (270km NE of Alice Springs) called Arlparra Dockers who wear the purple.

Just listened to First Crack. Literally all the commentary was how bad Melbourne were. With one "credit to freo they played really well" thrown in at the end.

It’s always going to be the case though. A belting like that says a lot more about the losing side than the winners. Raises serious doubts about the losers that need looking into. For the winners it’s definitely a good thing, but very hard to be sure how much is them, and how much the opponent.

If we come out with a 50+ point win against the dogs then people might start to talk about us.

He’ll get more opportunities, once Cox is back I can see Draper being injury cover for all of: Pearce, Cox, Chapman and Ryan, obviously they’d need to move the magnets around but he’s very versatile.

I have to say that the balance between defend and attack from our back 6 (7) has to be the best in the league. Guys like Clark and Chappy know when to run and carry, but they defend first and are rarely beaten one on one. Clark in particular has been brilliant at getting up/back to help team mates then his ability to run away from the contest just dissipates any danger
