That is a top notch midfield. Seems the best one to me. Genuine quality everywhere especially considering White was in top form back then. The rest of them speak for themselves. 3 Brownlow medallists in there too. Great midfield.

They are clearly the two dominant midfielders of the last 15 years or so.
Hird simply wasn't a full time midfielder, he spent too much time up forward.

I wouldn't be using the positioning to determine who dominated what positions.

IMO Carlton + Richmond games are the worst to watch. then Essendon

But i just think it's a bit unfair to bring up the last time our two teams played....
We were missing our 3 KPBs....
